It was quite hot (35 deg C) and humid in Dhaka yesterday (15th). We had thunderstorms. It rained quite heavily for about 3 hours too. Now it's nice 24 deg C. I'll have to learn and prepare for taking photographs in heavy rain, because the sky and the landscape were absolutely gorgeous today.

My lawn is looking particularly luxuriant this year with the combination of rain and sunshine we've been having. May have something to do with the fertilser I put on it which is causing it to require mowing twice a week. Drought, what drought?

Overcast on top of the mountain at the moment; the sun has tried, unsuccessfully, over the last couple of hours, to assert itself. The F6 is loaded with some E100VS at the moment, so I may head out in a bit.

colder than normal winds and night time temperatures here in Sunny Devon. Changeable spring weather but warmer and Sunny today.

Only when foreigners are visiting or are you thinking of the lake district where there could be a grain of truth in what you say.
In devon near the coast it rains very little. Inland on higher ground like Dartmoor it rains much more.

I was quoting - a book of nursery and silly rhymes I read to my kids 3 decades ago. I've been in Devon, and other parts of England. Never got rained on all that much. I'm from the wet west coast - it has to be a LOT of rain to make me seriously grouchy.

Remember, when you get through with all that water, it drains into the Red River which is out of its banks. Isn't there something you can do with all that water? Maybe store it in Lake Texoma. You know, of course, that come August, it will be hot as hades again and you might need it.....Regards!

Another overcast day...and then the sun came out in all its glory around 6pm. So, with little time to waste, I headed down to Barnet Marine Park to shoot the crabbers and a few folks kayaking and canoeing. I managed to finish off the E100VS I had loaded in the F6 and start a roll of E100G before I lost the light (oh to have some 400 ISO slide film...).

I've been swimming (half hour or more a day) in our local lake since May 17th. This is preposterously early. We had quite a mild winter here with no snow on the mountain backing the town. The water is not frigid, I could have taken a dip earlier. I'm not a lone loony, there are more people in the water every day. Usually it is end of June or early July before the water is this friendly for swimmers.

I'm loving being able to lake swim so early, but have a very bad feeling about what it means for our planet.

Shorter springs and falls it is like leaving the fridge door open for longer so global warming is a misnomer greenhouse gas is more meaningful.

About 13C here in Port Moody. Still in recovery mode after a rather nasty wind and rainstorm on Saturday morning. Writing from my big sister's place down in the valley - where they have power (Port Moody). No power at my place up on the mountain since Saturday morning 10am-ish. So, with computer power was drained, cell phone power drained, and no telephone (the perils of having a cordless set in my home) and very few traffic lights in operation, I ventured out to charge up my electronics and enjoy a visit (and my sister's always excellent cooking - it rivals mine haha)
Being on holidays, I am not that concerned about my lack of activity; however, my fingers are crossed that my Ektachrome stash remains ok - it was in a -28C freezer when the storm hit. No concern re the five bricks of FP4+ in the refrigerator; the dating is mid 2017, if I recall correctly.
I did take advantage of the crappy weather on the mountain (we've been enshrouded in fog since late last night) today and loaded up a Soverized F2AS with some HP5+ (EI200 at 1/250@2.8 and 4 for most of the time), shooting a few hardy crabbers down in Barnet Marine Park as well as a few umbrella-equipped souls walking around campus. Over the course of the day I managed to shoot a roll and 2/3 of a second; not bad...considering.
