The prediction was for -11 f this morning, we blew right past that to -18 and wind chills to -40. I just got my pipes thawed Sunday, one refroze this morning.

Snow is predicted here starting about midnight tonight and continuing all day tomorrow. This is after two days of ice, sleet and rain. This is really great weather because when we have this kind of weather, we rarely, if ever, have hurricanes or tornados......regards!

Snowing in Shreveport?!? I'll have to FB my cousin in Benton some smart-a** remark about how the magnolias and cherry trees are in bloom up here on the Left Coast and the fact the lawns are green and the Birkenstocks are out and...

Here in the SF Bay area it was the fourth weekend in a row when I was out shooting in a T-shirt. Wonderful big clouds and thunderheads.
The really odd things about this is that, depending where a particular type of cloud went, the weather could dump snow, hail, or in my case,
rain so warm I didn't even bother to put on a jacket. Seems more like April, with poppies out, and these big temperamental clouds passing
over and briefly doing their thing. Usually it's very rainy and continuously windy here in Feb.

Nearly a foot of fresh white shtuff yesterday, sun is shining today with temps in the upper 20's f and windy. We're expecting temps to hit the low 40's f this week, with rain. It's gonna get really crappy if the snow melts off all at once, all our streams are frozen over and it will certainly flood as a result.

It's been 7° C here today and sunny no sign of snow, and there's the feeling that spring is just around the corner.

Sunny and moderating temperatures here. The weatherman says we will have clear sunny days through the end of next week. Upper 50's lower 60's (F. that is)

I haven't commented on SoCal weather in quite a while, so here goes: Our week of winter arrived between Christmas and New Year's, with light frost which finally finished off my tomato plants. We have had some rain, not nearly enough, but it has been rather gentle and prolonged when it happened, so it soaked in well. It was 90F on Valentine's Day, but it has been a bit cooler since, and with some rain. The first new tomato plants went in on Valentine's Day, and are doing well.
Yesterday it was 82F- the neighbor kids played in their large inflatable pool, and ran around their yard in their swim suits when they weren't in the water.
I can only hope we get several more storms before the real heat comes in June.

It's 34^F (1.1C) - almost up to the norm for this time of year. The temperature has been so low this winter that I feel over-dressed in a winter coat right now.

Here in Buffalo, NY it is sunny and 32F. They are predicting nice late winter weather for the next week. It feels like a heat wave and I expect to see people in shorts anticipating spring ;-).

We, like many in the eastern part of the country had a brutally cold Feb. Our average temperature for the month was a chilly 10.8 degrees F which was the coldest in recorded history in our area.

We still have a substantial amount of snow on the ground 2-3 feet in most areas, but we didn't set any records for snow except a huge early November lake effect storm that dumped between 2 to 9 feet depending on your location.

We are all eagerly awaiting Spring:-0.

Pretty spring-like here. Low-mid 60s and sunny... Going to be showery Wed/Thurs, then sunny on Friday. Rainy over the weekend.

Hi Richard - not far away! Was out on Mt Diablo two previous weekends, taking the 4x5 Norma for a walk this past Sat out in Briones. For non-locals, this is generically the SF Bay Area.

Nice. Weather has been too good lately if you ask me. Hills already turning brown. I'm going to guess the Deer Creek Trail or Briones Crest Trail at Briones? I've ridden mountain bikes there often but for some reason rarely shoot there. More often shoot in Tilden or Mt D. I'll watch for you...

I hope our weather here in SW Iowa is moving East 'cause we will be soon, too. Today, it was 71 F. I'm guessing that's a little above "normal" (though it didn't break the record for Omaha). I think the next 7 days are all predicted to be upper 60s.

Good. I'll be there on a business trip, well Des Moines that is, week after next. When I was first told of the trip about three weeks ago you guys were like at zero or even -4F ! I was sure hoping it was going to warm up.

By the way any suggestions for shooting in Des Moines or anywhere nearby?

OK, I am gonna make an offer, which I hope is supported unanimously on the West Coast and on the East Coast...

If the East Coasters will send some of their precipitation out west...
...the West Coasters will send of our heat out east!
