I my part of the U.K it's about 7°C and overcast, this winter so far hasn't been too bad we haven't seen any significant snow fall at all this year except for a few minor flurrys about a month ago, and hopefully in about 5 weeks on the 20th of March the Winter will officailly be over.

30C when I woke up at 7am. Overnight minimum barely 27.5C.
11 more to go to top of 41C today.
40km/h winds.
1 'catastrophic', 3 'extreme', and 9 'severe' fire danger warning districts, total fire ban everywhere.

Yep, it's gonna be another one of 'those' days.

My thermometer went off the scale this morning, my neighbor's digital read -24f. Second day in a row thawing pipes. The hot water pipe to my dark room is frozen so I shut the valve to it off, if it bursts I'll deal with it in warmer weather. I spent most of yesterday pumping heat on the line to no avail. I found where either mice or chipmunks had stripped about a foot of insulation from it under the crawl space--little bastards.
My cousin just called, she lives a couple of blocks away, she's posting -26f. I decided to keep my daughter home today, I won't let her walk to school in this and my truck refuses to start.

Fortunately, the winds were calm last night. Night before we had 20-35mph winds and -15f. I clear sidewalks for a church, yesterday I was running my snow blower in -10 temp and blustery winds, that crap was swirling around me, stinging my face.

We received a snow day today. We only had about 4" of snow and temps in the low teens F. In the past they would not shut down the university unless there was a lot more snow. Their approach lately has been to close, and let the maintenance personnel deal with the cleanup in a relatively unrestricted setting.

My cousin who lives just outside of town called me with -34f at the coldest this morning. I used to live in Park City, Ut. There's a reason I moved away from there, and it found me here.

9C here.

The gardeners are outside cutting the lawns. Nothing like the smell of fresh mown grass, wafting through the spring-like breeze.

It is warmer than usual, and the early blossoms are a couple of weeks earlier than usual, but it isn't all that far from normal.

Meanwhile, in "sunny" queensland, where it's "beautiful one day, perfect the next"...

And it hasn't trasmitted for about 30 hours.

Methinks the weather station may have blown away...

11C here atop Burnaby Mountain, just a bit (40 minutes, or so) north of Matt. Sun has been out most of the day; I was awakened early in the am by our maintenance people cutting the grass and stirring the beds getting ready to (if they haven't already) plant bulbs. And trees up here, a bit earlier than normal, are starting to show buds.

It dropped below -10F (-23C) last night, with a nasty wind-chill. It was -10F and very windy this morning at 8 a.m. when I had to swap a new battery in my mom's minivan. Even with ski gloves my fingers certainly felt the cold. The university I work for delayed opening until noon today (and was closed yesterday).
Right now it's about 8F (-13C).

We had -24f again this morning, high today, 4f. It's supposed to warm into the upper 20's and snow again tomorrow through Sunday.

We are +8 Celcius degrees in Istanbul and even at that cold , traffic jammed , 100 cars crashed to each other. But East Anatolia is very high and cold same as Ottawa.

Right now it's -28C (-19f) here in Saranac Lake, NY. This is the kind of chill that puts icicles in your beard within minutes. Yesterday afternoon rose to around 22f, and it felt like summer.
