We are about to have a heat wave this coming weekend in West Los Angeles. The temperatures will top 74 degrees F for the highs. Stay tuned. News at 11.

It finally go to 83°F. Every day just like the day before ... warm, sunny, light breeze, some nice clouds ... pretty much boring. It is a tough life but it beats living in the middle Atlantic states.

I didn't even know there are states in the middle of the Atlantic...

They are hot and muggy in the summer and cold and damp in the winter.

The traffic is worse than Los Angeles and the traffic does not move. It is entirely the fault of the people that live there. The call northern Virginia "No Va." Not Nova like a star or something new, but "No va." as in Spanish meaning "It does not move."

But if they're in the middle of the Atlantic, at least they all have an ocean view!

The weather here is perfect and still the same 20 minutes later and all day.

Cold, dark, light wind, light rain, July 20th...

A little warm here today- 111F/43.8C at 4 PM. Downtown is at 112F/44.4C

Scochio.

74 degrees F and a little wet today. Thunderstorms were predicted, so far just a little rain. A very nice respite from the 97 to 102 degree temps we've been having.

Edit: The 83% humidity at 74 F is making things a little uncomfortable- kinda sticky. I'm sure there are parts of the country where this would brand me a wuss. I have been in rare conditions here in inland SoCal where it was 108 F and sprinkling-100% humidity. That was awful. And I've been in the desert in a thunderstorm on a 110 degree day, where after the downpour it was 101 F and 100%-- steam was rising from the ground. So I'm not really complaining...

^Was about 11 degrees warmer with similar humidity here in the Seattle area. Widely scattered thunderstorm cells. Would be sunny and hot in one area, then dumping rain and in the upper 70's half a mile away. Still kinda sticky at 2:19 am...

Still raining here off and on. I hope it goes all night. It won't put a dent in the drought, but it's still nice to have a little moisture and a break from the heat.

True that. Eastern WA could use some rain right now... Yet another wildfire has started.

6PM-Thunder! Lightning! Heavy rain! Yippee!

Still Scochio.

22C and overcast here atop Burnaby Mountain. Temperature is expected to hit 25C, with skies clearing sometime this afternoon. So...off for a stroll with the M6 and some HP5+ shortly. Later, in the late pm, I'll grab an F5 and some E100G, and go watch the locals and the touristas at Stanley Park.
