An interesting conundrum. If a $10 Leica is so rare it becomes a collector's item, surely the price would rise above $10?
I feel this thread is not about a $10 Leica, but is certainly a great study into human character.

I find it interesting that so many in this thread are provoked by watching the market forces at work. Would they rather see that the minimum price for a Leica was regulated by law? Sounds a bit un-American to me.
Mr Eli is clearly prepared to wait for a seller that will accept his offer, rather than compete by raising his price. I sincerely wish him luck, and good health in the meantime.
The market forces are clearly at work here. But I do envisage a day when a mysterious benefactor steps in just because she has had enough of this thread.
