I bought this thing off an Apug user this weekend and got it today, Thanks APUG! It was cheap but seems very usable. It was so cheap I just PM'd without even noticing the bit about Rolleikin 35mm adapter. When deals are good here, you gotta move FAST, ya-know!

Anyway, it showed up and the 35mm part seems to work just fine. The camera is no shelf queen but seems to be functional which is fine with me, precious items are not in my budget. Its cute that I can shoot 35mm with it, but I am more interested in 120 film so I am looking for a normal back for it.

I cant figure out what I have. I have searched on the rolleiclub site and I think it must be a Rolleicord II model 3. Does anyone know if the backs of rolleicords are universal or if I need to find a specific serial number range to match?
I will be posting a wanted in the classifieds. (er not anymore! see the next post in the thread)

OK, just call me crazy, but I also bought a broken YashicaMat from the guy to get a lens from it for my yashicamat 124 that needed a better lens, also never asked about condition, just hoped cause the price was right and I didnt wanna miss it.
Did you know that the back doors are interchangeable from a yashicamat to a rolleicord?!!

Featuring the Yashica Cord, or perhaps the Rolei-Mat!! ( I guess there is a little rolleimat 35mm camera, so it will be the Yashica-Cord.)

Very interesting. I would not have guessed that Yashica ripped off the Rolleicord design with that level of accuracy.

I prefer you call it a RolleiMat or Rolleica since it's majority components are Rollei.

Test that back with a non-critical roll of film to be sure your Frankencamera is fully functional. If you're lucky, everything fits perfectly and your film plane pressure plate doesn't obstruct the film path and the light seals all line up. But some of those things may not be exactly the same and you could get light leaks or scratched film (or even non-advancing film, if the pressure plate sits too far forward/too tight).

Good pint on the light seals. I ran a roll of film through and the only issue was that the paper didnt seems to line up exactly right but that could have been user error not getting the paper straight. THe rollei instructions point out the paper alignment as something to be careful of.
