At the risk of being a curmudgeon, the very worst lens I ever purchased was a 24mm f/2 Vivitar lens in OM mount.
Its optical quality was mediocre at best, and it kept falling apart!
I bought it new in Canada, at about the price shown in that ad (IIRC).
This seemed to be one of those lenses in which Vivitar went a stop too far. I have a couple of copies of the 24mm f/2.8, and they're both tack sharp especially around f/8-f/11. I owned a 24mm f/2, and it was so soft, I could use it for WA "dream scenes" when wide open. Kept it for about a month, and off it went .

I have the Series 1 70-210mm ƒ3.5 (Kiron) in Pentax-K and Minolta SR mounts. Great lenses.

I have 19, 20, 24 and 28 Vivitars in F mount.

They costed me next to nothing. I can't compare them to expensive lenses, but image quality is OK.

I had some special version of Vivitar 28 2.8 for Canon FD mount and it was very impressive lens.
