Oh, oh, another gorgeous camera. Why is there a knurled wheel beneath the wind lever? I am referring to the one just above the strap eyelet. How is this Topcor lens optically?
Thank you! The knurled wheel is for resetting the counter. The Topcor lens may not be a Summicron but it certainly holds its own.

What’s with the props guys?
There always seems to be a glass of whiskey or other beverage within reach, or a pair of reading glasses as in the above.
Are you trying to give off an erudite, bohemian vibe?

I love it. It's great people got into the spirit of this topic.

This is another beauty! I have the very similar Vito BL with the same 50mm ƒ/3.5 Color-Skopar. I am astonished how well-corrected this lens is, but that's not all that surprising considering it is a post-war, unit-focussing Tessar derivative. Tripod-mounted and using a fine-grain film like Acros, this lens does amazing work. I wrote about it on 35MMC. Cheers, have fun!

erudite
(ˈɛrʊˌdaɪt)
adj
having or showing extensive scholarship; learned

In regard to photography the answer to your question then is yes. Isn't that what we all try to do on a website about photography?

There is signaling it by including whiskey and utensils for reading in your images.
Then there is actually showing it with real knowledge and wisdom.
I know this is only fun and games.
But:
Taking fun
as simply fun
and earnestness
in earnest
shows how thoroughly
thou none
of the two
discernest.

Only on APUG do we find this kind of stuff being done. Wild! I tip my hat!
Thank you! COVID-19 shelter in place will make you do crazy things, haha. :D

This would be a great photo under normal circumstances but it is also extremely interesting from a technical standpoint considering the process.
Thank you, John, appreciate the kind words. Trichromy really is a fascinating process!
