I disagree. If he has just twenty 8x10 film holders those alone could be worth up to $1000. He said he has several "poster-sized" film holders. Those could be worth several hundred dollars each.

It's still going to take some work sorting and cleaning. The OP definitely has some stuff that if it were clean and working, he could sell. Some stuff might be salvageable for parts or display, some might not find a new home. It's like a completely random assortment of 20th century photo gear just drifted into that basement.

I can see that, but that's where the money is, not in all those folding, box, plate, and movie cameras.

i am not sure how accurate this is ,, but from what i have been told and read that the viscawide-16 is valued between 200 to 500.. and still not sure on the koni-omegaflex M...2 on ebay for $4000 and one for $5600 and one more starting bid at $400.. i know most of the fold out cameras are not worth much but there is a ton of them lol..

If the "poster sized" film holders are really contact printing frames, might they be for Cirkut negs? That big long box with all the lightbulbs, above, is what makes me wonder about that...

is there any value to thoes at all..that box with the light bulbe is 5.6 tall.. and i broke one of the big ones..i fell and shattered the glass in it

There is certainly value to Cirkut negative printing frames. 5.6' tall sounds about right. They are pretty straightforward to make, so they aren't worth insane amounts of money, but there's something cool about having an original vintage one. (Yes, I'm interested, if they are 10" tall by however wide...)

I don't know about yours but, depending on condition, some photo instruction manuals are worth $30-50 each and others even more. Still others are worth a mere $5 or less... maybe nothing.

jnanian myabe thats why my x wife is so cheap shes moldy lol

"The Lone Ranger Camera", what a name...

I'd better not tell but actually I already bought cameras just for their name.

If there's a Cirkut printing frame, what are the chances of a Cirkut camera underneath everything? Now that would be worth a lot.
In general, I'm seeing 3 levels of things:
- very few gems in good condition, but there'd be at least some. Like that Kodascope if it works. Maybe the Konica TLR with its set of lenses, it looked clean and I see only one recent sale, $1k for a set (also dusty, mind you).
- decent stuff that's worth a lot combined, like a lot of film holders. The best part is that they're not really affected by mould, just wipe the dust out and you're good to go. Did I see some plastic 5x7" or 8x10" a page back? I'm still interested in seeing these 'poster sized' ones, although as mentioned there's a chance of them just being contact-printing frames and worth not much.
- a whole lot of, unfortunately, junk. possibly good cameras killed by mould, or just stuff that's so ubiquitous that there's no market, like Brownies and cheap P&S.
- And a whole lot more of stuff that's worth something to the right person, like manuals. Most people wouldn't care, but the one person who desperately wants it might pay $20 for it.
It's still definitely worth sorting out the decent stuff to find more gems, keep at it...

i tried the kodascope it works and found 3 other types in basement and a slide projector one as well;;;the tlr looks like brand new other then its missing the lable off the top of it it still has the original box and 2 lenses 135 and 200 and the 90 thats on it..the lone ranger camers is also brand new never used.had a leak in ceiling over the weekened and got wet but still camra is like new..and a couple a thoes cheaper fold out cameras look like they were never used ,, most of the stuff is just dusty, mold on a few but mostly dust.

The water leak is a very bad sign...

the cirkut camera u talking about are they earlier then other ones and made from card board...there is an unusuall on there with a smaller flap on the front where it slides out i am not sure cuz i didnt spend much time with it but i think said no5 on the handle.

i also have a centurty studio model 10a with with stand..the stand is in good shape but the camera part itself was painted.there is 4 other cameras like that just smaller, would the century studio be worth aything at all or even the stand
