Well, I know it's complicated and likely to fall flat , but I've created two separate polls. Please try to vote just once in one of the polls: It will show up if you've voted more than once. The votes run for 21 days after which I will take the three top venues across both polls and start a second round. The two polls can be found here:

Hmm, the maximum number options for a poll is 10 and we have an option of 16 locations. Any Ideas?

Brian

Well some of the locations are a bit generic and others are very specific. For example "The West" or Wales are massive areas so I would suggest either making the first poll a regional poll and then make a second of specific places in the winning region, or, take out the generics and just do a poll on specific places.

Ok I'm goanna stick my head on the ol' chopping block here as I've been following this thread as has Sile and thefizz because we would love to sail across to meet up with you folks one of the days.

Could we vote? Would that be too cheeky?

Fintan - of course you can vote - If you're coming over, you need to have a say as to where you're coming to! It would be great to see you all.

And I dare say I'm not the only one who'd like to come and see you in the Emerald Isle one day as well

Part of the original concept of these weekends was to be able to meet other members who we would never otherwise put faces to. There has always been a warm welcome fro those attending no matter from what part of the world they came from. The common language is photography.

If any fellow mates from overseas are looking for accomodation in London on their inbound/outbound leg, I'd be very happy to oblige.

I was going to suggest the English/Welsh border country aka The Marches. It's a bit of a 'hidden gem', and on my doorstep. However, when I saw Anglesey (Ynys Môn) was in the list I thought that would be even better.

When my folks moved there I discovered all sorts of places that I'd wished I had known about years earlier. Varied and highly photogenic coastal terrain, and there's a public path that goes all round the island; Beaumaris castle, a church that's an island at high tide and a good quota of ancient sites; two bridges across the Menai Straits.... I could go on.
