Leon,
I've only just noticed this thread (believe it or not!). Would you be able to provisionally add me to the list. I say provisionally 'coz I need to try and get the day off, although if I can't I may just throw a sicky! What time (and date) does it kick off. Regards, Niels (Blighty)

art - I take it you must work for Pfizers then? that's pretty much all there is at Sandwich these days, apart from the closed power station? anyway, that's about 10 mins form where I work. Small world.
Hi Leon,

Yes. It is a small world. BTW, I need the address so I can arrange car service. Can you or someone give me the exact address of Ilford? I didn't feel like going through 16 pages of thread material!

Thanks, Art.

It always happens to me

Please take me off the list Leon. I have to be in hospital on the same day as the trip. I have been waiting for the appointment for six months so I dare not cancel. Whilst you are enjoying yourself I will be having a needle pushed through my side into a nearve root at the base of my spine. Action-reaction, you have the pleasure-I have the pain, I would just like to know how come I always seem to be on the pain side of the equation. Hope you all have a most enjoyable and informative day, regards, Bogey

That makes 26 - still space for a few more, but we'll have to close it about a week before the trip so I can let simon know the final name list. - I think by friday 26th is about right.

I've just pm'd Simon Galley to get a final ok and arrangements from him.

art - here is the address from Ilfords website - hopefully it's the same as the factory:- ILFORD Photo, Town Lane, Mobberley, Knutsford, Cheshire, WA16 7JL, England

Another change to attendees.
Tony Marlow (Brook Hill) is in hospital having suffered a heart attack last week. Whilst now stable, he is due to be transferred to a specialist unit next week for further tests.
He doubts that he will be fit enough to attend, I’ve told him that I think it’s a particularly poor excuse for dropping out, but there seems little prospect of changing his wife’s mind on the matter.

If anyone can make use of it, Tony has a hotel room booked local to Ilford’s factory for the night of the first of June. If it is of interest, please PM me.

That makes our number 25. After a brief pm exchange with Simon Galley I think it's best that we close the list from now. Simon feels that 25 is the optimum number for the day he has planned for us so unless other people drop out, then we are full to capacity.

I'll let you know an official itinery once Simon sends it to me later this week.

cheers and I look forward to meeting you all.

As you are limiting the numbers to 25, I think I had better drop out and let someone else go, i'm not 100% confident I'll be able to make it.

Mark - there arent a list of people queueing up to come so I wont take your name off for now. If someone suggests they really want to come between now and the 2nd, then I'll check with you if you still want to drop out. I suspect that not quite everyone will manage to get there anyway.

Dave, please give Tony my best wishes when you next see him. I'm sorry that I'm missing the event but I'm sure I'll be at any subsequent gathering.

Yeah, perhaps you'll have a flat tire or something. Run out of gas. No money for cab fare. Your tux didn't come back from the cleaners. An old friend came in from out of town. Someone stole your car. An earthquake. Locusts! A horrible flood!!

Hi Matt,

I believe the official start time is 09:30 on Friday 2 June at Ilford's site (address - ILFORD Photo, Town Lane, Mobberley, Knutsford, Cheshire, WA16 7JL, England).

An itinerary of the day's events will be posted when it's available.

All the best,

Frank
