I got some 35mm motion picture film and I'm not going to be able to shoot all of this.... that's of course I don't shoot them at 24FPS.

I haven't chosen the rolls I want to keep yet, but I'm going to present the entire list I have. Below is the break down of the rolls available. Prices are based on length of canister.

Note: I have not verified all the contents of the all the canisters and their lengths. I'm going by what's on written on the front / side. What's written on the paper attached has priority than the original canister label. I do not know the history of the films before I received them.

About me, I have 300 positive feedback (100%) on eBay and an admin/moderator in many film groups on Flickr [MrDAT].

PM me with the # you are interested in. Please be patient as I will try to get back to you as soon as I can.

Definitions:
RecanReturned film back from camera to canister, should be full 400' / 1000'.
Short EndRest of film unloaded back into canister after use.
New 400': $30

Short End 200'-299': $20

I'll price the 1000' canisters shortly.

Any chance you can get IMAX (perforated 70mm) short ends? My RZ67 has a 70mm back that needs feeding...

Ditto for me, I've got a 70mm Graflok back (perf or non-perf) that would mate nicely for a full day's shooting with the Travelwide when it comes...

All PMs have been returned.

polygot, Sorry, no 70mm. But you can tape film together! ha

Added: I can take trades (don't tell my wife). I'm actually activly looking for a Mamiya RZ67 220 back.

Something Bronica SQ, Mamiya 645, Nikon 35mm, Minolta manual focus, Kiev 60 / Pentacon, Polaroid, or some 120 films maybe.

Some quick snapshots of what the stack looks like. Also included some close ups of what the labels look like. As mentioned, I'm going by what was written on the cards / tape to determine the contents.

No Eastman motion picture negative films are made in 70mm, the camera film is 65mm. Only the print film is 70mm, the extra width is for the sound tracks.

I've been asked about the "sound track" on 35mm MP film... I don't know that much about sound capable 35mm films, but here is what the EXR 100T looks like in my bulk loader.

Anyone interested in a few bulk loaded rolls from these films? I'm thinking of selling individual rolls.

How would a guy go about processing this stuff, anyway? I've looked a bit on the web but didn't find any real instructions. I'd love a couple hundred feet if I knew I could process it at home.

(there was a url link here which no longer exists), I assume you are talking about processing it as motion picture film in long strips and not 24/36 exposure shots? I've seen a video online here and there of people doing so using a darkroom and plastic buckets. One of them literally just carefully stirred the film in the bucket in the developer/bleach/fix, hand squeegeed and hung it to dry using paperclips in the sprocket holes to hang it carefully.

I'd be concerned if doing that with uneven development due to the film just being sort of tossed into the bucket and chemicals. There's got to be a better solution.

I am going to only be shooting mine purchased from this thread as photography film so that isn't an issue. But I did wonder the same thing myself when it arrived, could I technically do the development at home? I don't have a dark room so I'd have to do it inside of a large cardboard box or similar in a bucket. Seems sketchy.

FWIW here's a link to an older page that has a ton of links about this very thing. Maybe digging around there you can find some answers?

alienmeatsack - Actually I was asking about processing as still film. But thank you for the entertaining bucket story.

I would be curious on how to process it, and how much a bulk loaded roll would be.

(there was a url link here which no longer exists), I misunderstood your question then. Processing it as still film is the same as you'd do with any C41, except you add in a remjet removal step before the processing.

Here's how I do it...

First step instead of the usual pre-soak is to mix around .5-1 tablespoon of baking soda or washing soda (i use baking soda but I am told both work) into 500ml of 100f water and put that into the tank w your rolls of film. Adjust this amount for a larger tank for the same ratio of water to baking soda, making sure there's room in the tank for agitation. Let it sit for a minute, then agitate it aggressively for a 1-2 minutes or longer depending on the film. Let the mix and film sit for another minute or so, agitate aggressively again. Then pour out the mix. Look at it to see how dark/black/colored it is when you dump it out. Then just refill the tank w 500ml of 100f water (no more baking soda these next times) and agitate aggressively for a few minutes, dump and repeat until the water comes out clear or does not come out dark/black. It may come out a little pink (or another color, yellow, etc depending on the film). Once you've done this until the water is clear or nearly clear, you are ready to process like normal C41 with your developer step, then your bleach/fix steps and stabilizer.

Once developing is complete, I recommend very gently removing the film from the spool and using your fingers to carefully squeegee the film, removing any remaining remjet, doing this under warm running water. At this point you should have clean clear film. You can return the film to the tank and add your photoflo now if you wish.

And that is really all you have to do.

If the remjet does not come off easily in the presoak/shaking step, you may have to do some very careful cleaning of it by wiping with some kind of soft cloth on the backside only or use a soft toothbrush on the back under running water to remove the left over remjet. Beyond that, it's good to go!

Hope this helps!

alienmeatsack, Thank you for the clear instructions. It sounds easy enough. Now this sale is looking much more attractive.

Glad to help. The remjet step was also my hesitation point, but once I discovered it was easy, I jumped on it. I think at the price the OP is asking, it's a no-brainer honestly.

I did read that some films will vary in the ease or lack there of in which the remjet comes off, but so far mine has been very easy. I opted for a few reels of the Vision2 films which are around 10 years old. So the age may also have some impact on the remjet, but the film appears to have been kept well and, best i can tell, has stayed at speed. At least for the stuff I've developed thus far.

Shipping depends on how many rolls you're interested in and where I'd ship. It's about $10 for one roll using Priority Mail or up to 3 using Priority Flat Rate for 400' rolls.

Or you can always get them sent to me first and I can forward them onto you and split the shipping...

For those interested, I will post some shots taken with one of my rolls of this film from the OP shot on the Vision2 250D later tonight or tomorrow, so you can see what condition it is in and how it's aged. And if you are on the fence with a purchase of this, as long as you have the means to get it from the 400' tins into your bulk loader or have a dark room where you can pull and cut to fill cassettes, this is a bargain film. The remjet on this round came off just as easily and the last bits squeegeed right off with my fingers under the warm water when rinsing post development.
