I've just returned from a trip in Japan, where I saw more film and film cameras being used in 3 weeks than in the last 12 months here. So I don't think we're going to see the last of it yet.

Stone the crows, I'm paying the equivalent of AUS $8.00 for a 36-exp Velvia 50, $7.38 in bulk, and that's post paid.In stark contrast, about the only decent film i can find in Sydney retail is $35 a roll 35mm Velvia at one of the better camera stores.

There are too many levels of distribution here in Australia. I enquired about making a big buy from a distributor and i was still going to pay 2x the USA bought+delivered price.
