Another day, 3 more shots in the camera.

It was a tough day, out of my normal day job routine but I found something on the way home.

I like being able to shoot something nice early, takes the pressure of the rest of the day.

Yesterday there was actually sunlight and I got down to Jericho point - the ships in the harbour and the snow-capped mountains behind may just result in a keeper.

Today I ran a test roll through a new camera - an RB67 with a 50mm C lens - and took another crack at doing justice to the old railroad bridge over the north arm of the Fraser.

If this is a photo a day then somebody better post every day. I know that all of you other guys have quit already.:surprised:

So far I'm 7 for 7 in shots taken...even after being on a train for the first 2 days. Unfortunately I'm unable to visit my darkroom everyday.
So there will always be a backlog for me...I'm ok with that. Scanning and posting? Well...when I get around to it is when it will be done. :surprised:

I'm still eight for eight.

Last night I was shooting my son's hockey game at 11.30pm though.

I've got most of the processing done.... just can' t get the printing done.

Probably 8 for 8 - but the shots today may be a little soft (so wet and dark, it may be Holga-ish).

Well, I won't get into the darkroom again until Monday (I work the next 2 nights). I have taken pictures today and will the next 2 also. Going pretty well except it is hard to find interesting things to take pics of when it is so darn cold out!!! I have some ideas for tomorrow and the next day though. Hope everyone is having fun with this challenge! I sure am.

When this is all over I will have 365 snapshots and about five 80 slide carousels of snapshot slides. I will probably end up boring someone to death.

I'm still doing fine, but the worst day was yesterday : I was stuck at home with my son, the weather was terribly cold so there was no way I could drag him to an interesting place.

I ended up doing a still life, and I know I'm terrible at that . Anyway, this is a good exercise, but I have to work on lighting !!!

I'm not sure the camera I planned on using for this will remain in the project, as there's no way I can trigger it with a cable, and this is a big issue (no long exposures in particular will create problems).

For me this project isn't about creating perfect works everyday, it's about trying to create something special every day.

I fully agree, but as soon as I pick the camera, I'd like the result to mean something to me. Well, I guess that even a failure* means something, so I learned something yesterday. I also learn a lot about my relationship with Photography, and the limitations of "one camera/one lens" paradigm.

* failure as in "a test that did not succeed", if I get the "normal" rate of 5% keepers, I'll be happy ! And happier if I learn from the more than 300 "non-keepers" I shoudl expect at the same time.

Today was a tough one! I went home this morning and went to bed as I was exhausted after my 12 hour shift. I woke up just as the sun was setting but left to work early and went up on the rims above Billings and tried some night shots of the city lights. Hand held so they might not be great but it is something that I wanted to try for a while! I hope that one turns out! I will get in the darkroom and update my blog tomorrow! So far so good. I think that it is getting more natural for me to have a camera with me. I think I may start carrying the box camera though as the slr kit is a little heavy to carry with me to work!

Still on this train sitting in row 10 at seat 10.

Today was to be the first processing day, but alas circumstances intervened. As vocation trumps avocation, weekends are traditionally my only available darkroom time. So now I must wait another six. Sure hope my camera isn't broken...
