I can't seem to reproduce it. Was it fine for a while and now it has thrown this error, or have you been consistently getting the error? Have you ignored one of your own threads or anything like that? Thanks

No this one just popped up instants before I posted it here.
It hadn't occurred since the last time I posted a similar error a few days ago.
I haven't got any of my own threads on ignore, although I have got some threads in which I once posted now on ignore, but not between when I saw this error the last time and the current iteration.
The only thing I can see different is that both "My Threads" and "My Posts" now list any "Reported Posts" made, and the "last message" column for those items doesn't show a username. Clicking on the reported post throws a "you do not have permission ..." message.
So it's possible that the thread in which there has been a reported post has had a reply, and this has popped it back onto the first page of results for "My Posts"/"My Threads" and triggered the error via the null username?

I posted my analog print after "upgrade" to something called "media". Get dump of notification about someone else upload after it. Some advice was given. Worked.
Didn't want to bother to upload scan of darkroom print into the media thing.
Recently did it after couple of months and same crap load of notification.
You know what, if you can't fix it for so long, I'll fix it by not renewing of my subscription. Enough...

Sorry about this. It is a user preference located here:

(there was a url link here which no longer exists)

Ensure that automatically watch media is unchecked for alerts/emails you do not want.

I'm working with my coder now to have these disabled by default.

This is a bug where someone that has reported a post will see this if one of the reports is in their list of threads. Hoping to have this bug squashed in the next 6-12hrs

Know why that is?

Because it too seeks to decisively drill down to the fundamental core of a problem. Shallow analysis and truncated attention spans are not always man's best friends. Except maybe for The Donald...

Glad to see you are paying attention

I learned the hard way to never not pay full attention to what's going on around me. And there is, of course, an interesting story behind that hard learned lesson. It happened in 1981 on a blistering 106F/41C summer afternoon in the unforgiving White Mountains foothills northeast of Big Pine, California in a geologic area known as the Poleta Folds...

Don't wish to trash Sean's thread, so PM me if you are uncontrollably curious.

When in a forum, look for the post new thread button, it should be there:

Thank you Sean!
I never go to a subject-specific forum, I just got to Forum and check "new posts"; so that is why I never got this link. Would it be possible to make this link appear on the generic Forum?

RSS was fine up to a few days ago, then it stopped loading. Stupidly, I deleted the feed and tried to resubscribe. Now, all I get is:
XML Parsing Error: XML or text declaration not at start of entity
Location: (there was a url link here which no longer exists)
Line Number 2, Column 1:<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
^

I do miss the "spy" function, which was a quick way to check the pulse of the forum.

I also miss the ability to toggle visibility when I'm online. (maybe it's still there, but I can't find it) There have been times in the past where I have received unwanted attention, and some folks seem to see a green dot as an invitation to engage.
I know these are not so high up the list of priorities, but I thought you should know. Keep up the great work!

Cheers,
Tom

I seem unable to take or upload images from my iPhone without getting "The file is too large." Is there a way around this?
How big are the images you are trying to upload?

To be confident of uploading, you need to resize them down to something like 850 pixels on each edge. More pixels may be downloadable sometimes, due to a built in resizer, but the file size limit also often kicks in.

Thanks Matt. I resized them. I wonder if the new software can do this automatically.
It seems to be more persnickety than the old software, which did automatically re-size in some cases as well.

Where were you trying to upload them? As attachments or gallery images? Thanks
