How would you like it to work? Then I can see what is available. ThanksI ignored someone and the next thread I read, there was a placeholder to click to read the ignored content. Is there a setting to control how this works?

I have updated the "Mark all Read" link so that if on the main forums page it is only 1-click to mark all read. If you are in a thread it will then ask if you want to mark all forums read, or only that specific thread.
good catch, fixedColour contrast in poll barchart is so low I can barely see the bar. Could the contrast and/or colour of the bar be changed to make it stand out quite a bit more.
See following example of low contrast bar: (there was a url link here which no longer exists)

This should be fixed now, and on homepage block tooStill seeing The Soap Box in Recent Discussions, even though I have blocked it.
investigatingWhen an alert for a group posting comes to your Alerts, it doesn't say what group the posting is in. As anyone who's been here any length of time knows, I'm no prude, but it would be nice to know the name of the group so if it is not appropriate to view at work I can avoid clicking on it at the wrong time. A female nude image had been posted to the Fine Art Nudes group and since I didn't know that was the group, I clicked to check what it was. Fortunately nobody was shoulder-surfing at the time.
there should be a setting for this, looking into itThis is bugging me to the point where I'm about to turn off preview despite being a big fan of the feature. Unless the thread I hover over is halfway down the page, the tall narrow preview window is partially hidden by the lower toolbar on my browser window, and blocks every thread title in between. And I still find the slow fade-in obnoxious and non-utilitarian. Is there a way to revert to the instant, wide and short preview box the old APUG had? And does it really need to show an avatar? This new preview is all bells and whistles and no meat.

It looks like our system to print threads (which appends the /print) has gotten into google index. I'll see if we can change that word to something that can't be found by searchesInteresting issue with google searches off site. I looked for this but the keyword to search would be "print" and that's a tough one here.
When I search in google for something photo related and Apug has a link The Google sends me a link with "/print" at the end of the URL casuing my computer to want to print the page!
Here is a link google provided:
(there was a url link here which no longer exists)
Remove "print" from the end and no problem, the link is normal.

There's not an easy solution really. You could collapse the sidebar photo, avoid the gallery and ignore any forums that might be a problem.I wonder if there's an on/off function to hide/show NSFW threads. Of course, those threads would all have to be marked as NSFW.
thanksgood catch, fixed![]()
@Wayne I've done a few things to speed up the thread preview and am still trying to make it far more instant.

The main problem is getting everyone to mark their content "NSFW" and then depending on all posts/images to be marked correctly. You could still get caught out at work if 3% ignore or fail to mark their content NSFW.That's too bad because it would be a popular feature.
Not to mention differences of opinion about what constitutes NSFW.The main problem is getting everyone to mark their content "NSFW" and then depending on all posts/images to be marked correctly. You could still get caught out at work if 3% ignore or fail to mark their content NSFW.

Good policy, someone might post a disgustingly childish videoI just learned not to look at APUG, LFPF and other photographic websites during breaks at work. That turned out to be the safest thing to do.
