Thank you. This is an interesting observation. I do not expect to use it, but I will keep it in mind for use when there is not a good option available.
Just developed the film. Film Svema130, overdue for 40 years. Camera Zenit11, lens Helios 44, developer "Microphen" dilution 1/3 + a little benzotriazole. Method "3.14" gave me a development time of 40 minutes. This method is intended for such cases.
Interesting thread. Can anyone think of how this method could be applied to a 2-bath developer, or one like Jean Face where you start with a solution for X minutes then add a second solution for Y more minutes? Seems suited to "normal" one-step developing, which admittedly likely constitutes the bulk of artisanal film developing.
