No. It was just a response to your question about why a person should not voice every opinion they have. Some opinions are best kept to oneself. For example, I have opinions about how people who I don't know dress; I keep it to myself because A: I don't know that person, and have no idea how they would take that opinion, and B: while it is my opinion, unless I have a burning urge to provoke someone and ruin their day (and potentially ruin my own...) then no positive benefit can be gained by expressing it. I may think someone looks like a clown on crack because of their sartorial choices; but they made them, and they wanted to wear what they're wearing, so it makes them feel good, so I'm going to refrain from telling them they look like a clown on crack, and treat them with the same respect I would treat a banker in a three-piece Saville Row suit, and in the end, make their day better rather than worse.

Now if said person turns to me and says, "Do you like my outfit, and do you think it is flattering or does it make me look like a clown on crack" that's a different story.

More fun with the LC-Wide. We have these 'art' trash cans at the beach. They are about 50 yards apart but I thought they would make for a colourful and unusual pano. I mean, how many beach trash can panos can there be out there?


The LC-Wide allowed me to bring them together w/o touching any of them. Which is good because then I would have to put them all back.

The bands are there. I think the different angle of light/brightness level affects how they appear as I didn't do anything differently.

HOW DO YOU PRINT THIS (ASSUMING NOT JUST FOR ONLINE)

For panos I use a service that allows me to print the full image within the border of the specified paper size that I have picked. You could either go a 'custom' route, or here in the US I like to use Adorama's printing service for this called printique.com
For example, if I have an image that I want 36 inches long, and they do not offer a pano with that length, I'd pick the 24x36 size and select the setting that allows the uncropped image to be printed on it. It will have very large borders on the horizontal axes, but those will be trimmed off when framed.

I believe I found the file that went to the lab. Here is a copy, re-sized for uploading here on Photrio. Based on the pixel count, I think it was printed on 12"x18" RA4 paper.

And 100% crop that shows how killer the lens is. I have a feeling maybe I got lucky? Examples I've seen online don't seem to be able to resolve like this. Or maybe their scanning is not up to par?

Funny thing is, I haven't found a single square shot from Lomo LC-Wide on the internets?! So, does Lomo actually bundle the square frame for the film gate with this camera? I guess any square framelines in the viewfinder would also be too much to ask?

I just put the square mask inside my LC-Wide, and will shoot a roll of Superia 400 this weekend. It will be fun to see how it comes out. Of note - there is no change in the already vague vf (the final image includes much more than what you see), so while I will be able to center the framing (somewhat), I don't really know how much will be in the final result.

Only one way to find out!

(Did I mention this camera does not scratch film? Unlike another much more expensive one I have..)

And a few results - Superia 400. Of note... the lens is way wider than what the VF shows. The VF shows maybe a 21mm POV, while the lens is 17mm.
