Well, until they get to me at least, as I'll have to remove them before shipping them out of Japan (I swear they must have battery dog sniffers here! I've had the camera on these exchanges returned to me on several occasions, even when I remove the batteries (but include them in the packaging)).

I picked up the camera at the Post Office this morning.

I am working all weekend, and probably won't get to use the camera for a few days ... possibly July 4th.

Just a quick update with the list of folks on this round. Remember to make sure the next person on the list is aware and expecting the package.

locutus (Europe / Finland)
macfred Europe / Germany)
Raphael (Europe / France)
Wallendo (USA / North Carolina) <---- Camera is here
Toro_mike (USA / Colorado)
Michael Teresko / (USA / California)
NedL (USA / California)
mooseontheloose (Japan / Tokyo)
-> And then return to me.

Great job so far folks!

Mike

I have finished taking my photographic "masterpieces" and hopefully can mail off the camera Tuesday or Wednesday. And yes, I did remove the lens cap.

I just need the mailing address to which to send it..

Forwarded the mailing adress to Wallendo, camera should be going to Toro_mike soonish then.

Halfway there!

The camera has arrived safely in Colorado! I'll get my shots done this weekend, hopefully, and get it out early next week.

Going fast, let's see if we can finish this within the year!

Yes, 4 shots per person and any subject material you feel like shooting using those!

FYI, I did not get out this weekend - had to go to Utah for work. This coming weekend should remain open, so I will endeavor to get the shots taken then. I'll keep y'all updated.

Was I already in this round? Did I take a picture? Or was that camera 11....
Enquiring minds need to know.....
:errm:

I didn't follow the instructions completely and only took 2 shots.

I am sure both of them are masterpieces  - I did take the lens cap off.

Form following other threads like this, I didn't expect to get the camera for a few more years.

Sorry for the delay! Camera should go out today or tomorrow to Mike in Cali. Will update again when the ship has sailed.

Wow, this round is going fast! (knock on wood) It's too bad I couldn't take it with me on my upcoming trip to Central Asia and Iraq, but hopefully it will be ready for me when I get back in September.

Great news! For everybody's reference, below is where we are:

locutus (Europe / Finland)
macfred Europe / Germany)
Raphael (Europe / France)
Wallendo (USA / North Carolina)
Toro_mike (USA / Colorado)
Michael Teresko / (USA / California)
NedL (USA / California) <---- Camera is here
mooseontheloose (Japan / Tokyo)
-> And then return to me.

There were six people before me but the counter was only on 20 when it got here.
I made mine today:

1) Cool tree-tunnel way out on a country road... I completely misjudged how wide the 35mm lens was, and was too far away. Not great.
2) The beach where Salmon Creek reaches the Pacific Ocean, with a foggy point called "Bodega Head" off in the distance.
3) A view of "Gull Rocks", of course with a seagull perched on one of them like there usually is.
4) A place called Duncan's Landing where redwood timber was loaded onto ships to build San Francisco. I forgot to remove the lens cap, and didn't realize until I reached into my pocket to get it and put it back on. Since there were still 12 exposures left, I cheated and took it again as a 5th frame. Hope that's okay

I'll send it off to Japan this week.

Ned
