I'm in for sure - what else than TriX ?
Forgot to say, I'm on vacation for the next 3-4 weeks (shouldn't be a problem - I'm no.6 on our list).
Still waiting for Bert - sent him several mails and PMs - no reply so far ...

His last appearance was in August, 2017. I remember a posting of his around that time saying he had slipped and was injured -- maybe on some rocks in a creek? Hope he is ok, though it's disturbing that we haven't heard from him.

I'm still in and tri-x sounds great to me.

I've also tried to contact Bert via email and FB but have not heard anything back. I missed him this year on WPPD.

The member who slipped on the rocks in a creek was HiHoSilver from Oregon - he's lost also.

I’ve seen him on other parts of the internet, just nothing film related. I don’t know what happened, but I think he’s okay.

Until we hear from her, I'll vouch for Síle, who never says no to these things. Actually, she just never says no. :D

As to film choices, should probably keep it ISO 400. In my freezer, I have Tri-X, Acros 100 (B&W), a bunch of 400 & 800 Color, and Provia 100 & Velvia 50 slide film. Let's just say nix the slide film, but I can also buy some 200 speed color from B&H if the group is interested.

But Tri-X is truly the great equalizer in a project like this. My 2 cents.

Regards,

Shawn

Hmmm,
Sile and TheToadMen both nowhere to be found.
Should we start a rumour? :whistling:

Ps.. oh I’ve missed you crazy bunch

Since you are the first on the list, it is definitely revived :D !!

Can you do me a favor and PM me your full name, address, and email address? I will send you the camera by next week. As to the other participants, we'll make it up as we go along when we have to.

Regards,

Shawn

First, I wish an happy new year to all
I missed this thread since months, apparently.
Of course, I'm still on board... However can we have a current status of eleventh Camera ?
Does it leave the dock ?

If Shawn is ready to go with the camera, maybe we should have a reconfirmation of all the participants and/or start a new thread? FWIW, I'm still in, and I still have the battery issue.

Is this still on? If so and it hasn't started yet, can I join?

TheToadMan seems to have dropped off and since the initial commitments are quite old i would propose we reorganize this a bit.

Film selection i would be happy to keep at some 35mm ISO400 B&W film HP5+ or Tri-X (coin toss!),

Camera we would still need to do a selection on. Some P&S would be perfect. I'll take a look locally if i can find something for sale on a budget. (Seen a couple of Olympus Mju's that would do)

So if you are still interested, please restate your interest after this post and i'll track a list.

I'm still interested - B&W film ISO400 should be great - the Mju is a nice Point and Shoot (hope you can get one for acceptable price - those Olympus cameras are getting pricey these days).

OK!

In that case i'll pick up the organization.

Plan:

Up to 15 participants, this leaves 2 shots per person with some playroom for inevitable error.

Announce your interest to participate here in this thread, up till 15th of March. (gives enough time for people to notice this thread, not everyone looks here daily)

Send me your contact details, and i will assemble a travel route with hopefully the shortest distances between participants with myself as start and end points.

I will supply the Camera (Mju-1) and packaging for the camera so it can be safely reshipped, i will develop/print/scan and post our collective results at the end.

Probably this means that i send out the camera end of March, i've participated in several of the APUG BPX's and always delivered

So far on the list:

locutus (Finland)
macfred (Germany)
Toro_mike (USA / Colorado)

I’d like to join in. My only issue is that I will not be able to ship the camera with a battery, regardless of whether it is in the camera or not. For whatever reason, the Japanese post office is a fanatic about this, and I’ve had the camera for these exchanges sent back to me more than once, despite what the regulations say. It would mean that whoever is after me would have to supply the battery, unless I’m last. If this is too much of an issue, then I can sit this one out.

I'd like to join too... I don't care about supplying a battery if I happen to come after mooseontheloose. If we're getting started soon, I'd rather not be too near the top of the list, because it would be better if the camera did not arrive here in the summer when we might not be home to receive the package.

I think I'll bow out this time.
But I will follow with interest!
