Well, then again I still havn't received my Cerimonial Orange Robe. Or the Glass Pipette of Fine Measurement Device. I would think I have at least graduated past the Orange Lion Cloth of Floor Mopping Trainie!
Last time I answer an ad in a Nigerian newspaper...

We'll send it right away. I have Priest Tony send it to you.

May the Fountain of Rodinal forever flow and Ladies of Latex flock to your studio!
I have been blessed by the High Priest (and dark prince) himself and will soon be visited by First Acolyte Tony!!

Interested in the state of ecumenical affairs, I would like to ask about the Great Rodinal Schism of the 20th century. Does the High Priest of Rodinal recognize practitioners of RO9 as among the faithful?

Yes, we do! The original formula is accepted, too.

More grain coming up!

This photo is from our great grain reserve in Denmark. The mighty Susan from the church is sucking up the grain to put it into the Rodinal bottles.

YOU HERETIC MONSTER!!!!
The original formula belongs in the orthodox church of Rodinal and can not be accepted in the new church...
:D :D :D

I just purchased a bottle of R09 a few weeks ago and am nearly half-way done with it. Rodinal truly is the elixir of the Gods.

I have seen the truth!

I shall convert to Rodinal R09 once my stock of D76 is depleted!

I was given a couple of bottles of genuine Agfa Rodinal recently....haven't tried it yet, but I've heard it makes Pan F really sparkle...

Forgive me Father for I have sinned, I did buy a bottle of Ilfotec DDX, because it was cheap, only later did I discover it has to be diluted at 1+4 (!!!!).

I am now using the great Rodinal again at 1+50.

Amen.
How far can you dilute Rodinal and still justifiably consider yourself to be baptized? - David Lyga

Sadly, this thread has been dormant for 8 years, and Andy K. Is no longer on this earth.
I do miss modafoto's posts.

I'm XTOL user. However, for years, decades I've wanted to try Rodinal. Couple weeks back, I stopped by a amazing store we have in Iowa City called Artifacts, the fellow that owns the place, Todd, is a curator at heart. Anyway new in box glass syringes from the first half of the 20th century. I bought some stainless steel blunt tip needles, and 3 500mm bottles of Adox Rodinal . I'm ready. Probably shoot some 120 FP4.

Paterson tank, 10 ml of Rodinal concentrate, water to make 500 ml; with your setup you could give a prewash and add the Rodinal to the tank. Nearly any 100 speed film will give good results at 1:50. Consider agitating only every 3rd minute and adding 40% to Massive Dev Chart time. You'll be amazed how this opens up your shadows, yet your overall contrast will be normal.

You will have a conversion experience. You may use Xtol again, but you will always after return to the Holy Rodinal.

I am open minded, but I once had a old package of XTOL that had a stain that looked like the Holy Mother. Kinda looked like she was playing backgammon, not sure what that means..
Looking forward to the Rodinal revelation!

I live in the state of Denial, close to Idonthearville

What Donald said just adding that Delta100 or TMX in Rodinal 1+50 was as close to grain free as I have seen

I think that in the interest of most here, (and also for the sake of humanity writ large), we should be apprised as to whether there is a Torquemada character waiting to burn at the stake nonbelievers who refuse to concede to the written word of Momme Andresen. - David Lyga

It is spelled thusly, Andrew: Rodinal. Please do not venture into the sacrilegious . - David Lyga

Please accept the humblest of apologies! I've always been a bit of a heretic
