Hi there

I just thought that the church needed it's own thread.

Hm... sorry can't do that I'm afraid. I'm an acolyte of the dark lord of Precysol. However I'm sure there's no need to have a scism.

Best regards from the acolyte of Precysol (10th class)

I followed the scripture of Book of Les (Creative Black and White Photography) and souped some Ilford 3200. It was a gritty subject, and true to form the grain was as pre-ordained. Thick but printable, it made seedy subjects even more gritty and a sense of "darkness".

Wanna be acolyte in training

I've tried to convert the o so small but 'my precious' Tura 150 (apx 100) to the holy Church of our Rodinal with very good results indeed - Our precious gets a very smooth but beautiful grain then.

Our holy blood gives us 1 offer for every 50 wishes

Typical - the heretics are the first off the block!

(I'll continue to baptize my sheet films in Beutler's, BTW)

Forgive me Father for I have sinned, I did buy a bottle of Ilfotec DDX, because it was cheap, only later did I discover it has to be diluted at 1+4 (!!!!).

I am now using the great Rodinal again at 1+50.

Amen.

You are back in the circle, Andy...that's what counts! I hope you have learned a valuable lesson and now stays with the One!

How come none of the people using Pre*cysol can actually spell it? I use it to, and I still have to look it up everytime I want to get it right.

Kind of like JHVH maybe?

Sorry, but I found Rodinal to be incompatible with my lifestyle. I just can't seem to give up my addiction to the sharp, saturated colors of Velvia.

Are you sure?

I believe that Gainer might recommend that your faith in Rodinal be taken with a grain of salt. He might also recommend that if your faith is weak that you add vitamin C.

Morten, I humbly submit to the One! Bathe me in your light, oh holy Rodinal, and wash these sins of low-acutance from my tainted skin!

A while back I was walking through the airport and a couple of nicely dressed young people came up and introduced me to the Church of Acutology. They told me to renounce Rodinal and come to join them at their compound in the desert.

You can always tell the disiples of Rodinal, they're the ones in ORANGE!

I will occasionally use your magic elixer Morten, as long as you don't invite me over fer Koolaid. PanF at 1+300 for 90 minutes stand.

I wonder what you would do if you ever mastered the black art of 777. Like 666 only better, I say. I suspect you would never go back to Agfa drool.

Do people who use XTOL also celebrate XMAS?

Maybe not, but the members of the Church of Rodinal are a bit like the Costanzas with their own version of Festivus.

I could have sworn that when I first spoke about using Rodinal for the first time, I heard Morten yelling: 'Rodinalus for the rest of us' from the other side of the planet. He then proceeded to mutter something about 'Feats of strength' :D

I admit my addiction...errrrr....my allegiance to the one true Rodinal. Acros 100 4x5 souped in Rodinal 1:50 is divine. And Azo souped in Rodinal 1:10...a truly amazing thing to behold.

I mention the second only because I've read posts (perhaps on Michael Smith's site? I'm not sure.) denouncing Rodinal as a paper developer for Azo, but my results have been incredible. Perhaps it has something to do with the "new" Azo (I never tried the old stuff), or perhaps it's just that one must be true in one's faith to the One True Developer in order to make this magical combination work.

Mongo,

Some day would you come down from the mountain with some examples of Acros in Rodinal 1:50 on stone tablets broken up into little packets and sent out through the TCP/IP connection to the gods, or should I say one true god?

Another words, any scans you could share in the Gallery?

Now this is getting decidedly kinky :surprised:
