Nice site. I love the old vintage ads within the articles.

A funny tidbit lol sounds like me sometimes.

"The 3 o'clock sun would beat down on us mercilessly, while the photographer took his own sweet time making all kinds of adjustments, and would call out Ready a couple of times, and say Smile, and we smiled and smiled, only to find out the photographer was not ready, for in the last minute he would discover he had forgotten to attach some vital connection which he fished out of his pouch in slow motion."

box cameras are really capable of good results as long as you stay within their limits, which are not as narrow as many assume...I have a Box Tengor that really does a good job. Scan 7.jpg

My girlfriend has a Goerz Box Tengor as well. It's the only film camera she uses, and I'm her personal b&w and c-41 lab. She does amazing things with it, some of the prints we work on yield tremendous results up to about 8x12" size.

There was some famous fashion photographer in the 1930s who did all his work with a box camera -- apparently he couldn't figure out how to use anything else.
