Has the idea of reflection ever been done? Many different ways to express it or show it.

That's a good one. It seems simple but it is ripe with an unlimited variety of imaginative possibilities and interpretations. I don't have the vaguest notion what I would do but the concept is is enticing. I'd love to see what the talent on APUG would do with that subject.

If it's not the next challenge, I second it for an upcoming one.

Ouch! I forgot about that one. Great shot.

But remember. Ailsa's original concept for the challenge is about motivating and challenging ourselves. To pick a topic and then apply ourselves to illustrating it within a time frame. I ain't competing against you guys, I'm just a shutterbug.

Hows about combining the idea's and using the theme "reflections of freedom through a window"? or is that too much sitting on a wall?

I'd like to motion that the Theme for October be set as "Freedom" How about the submissions go through the month of October, and we start a debate about the November topic around the 15th of Oct?

Freedom - I see myself skipping across an open field, unencumbered by the bondage of clothing.

You guys sure that you don't want to change your vote?

Freedom sounds good to me. I'm in. But Neal, please be tasteful with that shot of you skipping across the field.

Just take care. The willy could get in the shutter...it could hurt both the shutter and the willy...

With all the arguments on other threads about scans just to let you know I've pulled my entry this month as it was a neg scan. Hopefully I'll get a chance to wet print something from the roll before the deadline. It will look much better as a scanned print in any case

Tony,
My opinion(maybe not wanted)is that there was no reason to pull your image. From what I understand the whole photo challenge is about concept, not necessarily about
printing. You had a good concept that was composed well that I think resonated well
with those who frequent this site.

Hi Walter, nice to meet you. I have only just started with a Hasselblad 501c/m and still trying to learn the ropes. A bit hard without a manual though.

Hi Jim, Your opinion is always welcomed and thank you for your kind comments on the picture  I'm sure it will look far better anyway once I have given it the darkroom treatment so I'll get it back up as soon as I can as there's a couple of weeks until the deadline. Tony
