But without Tetenal there is also no T-Max Developer...

Incorrect:

Supposed to be early 2024. From PSI Dexter MI

That means that it was produced in early 2022 (I'm not interested in that; even I have a bottle of T-Max developer with exp. date of 2024/04). @Sal Santamaura has obviously seen bottles of T-Max produced in 2024. If that is so, I think we would all appreciate any confirmation that the Photo Systems Inc. plan actually materialised.

Incorrect:

Provide a picture of currently produced (exp. date > 2025) T-Max Developer not "Made in Germany".

Thanks!

I haven't purchased any Kodak-branded chemicals (T-MAX Developer included) this year, much less this month or next month. Did you read the PSI announcement in the thread I linked to? Have you not read any of the other posts here on PHOTRIO that made clear Tetenal's current "incarnation" is nothing but a postbox with no manufacturing facilities? Apparently not.

How about this label?

Early 2024 is when production/distribution will begin at PSI. It's not an expiration date.

It will take some time to gear up, but PSI has been making much of the Kodak black and white chemistry for US and North America markets for Sino Promise before they quit. In fact Adox bought a quantity of HC-110 from "the US supplier" to Kodak SinoPromise recently.

PSI will need distribution partners, this will be a hurdle outside of the US. I'm sure it will work out. RA-4 chemistry will be the first priority as that's where the money is.

Dear @ADOX Fotoimpex , could you revive my beloved Aculux 3?

That would be interesting. If Adox does reintroduce it, I hope they find a way of improving it and making it last much longer. The bottle I tried many years ago went bad quite quickly. I never bothered with it again.
A pity really because my first set of negatives came out well.

I obviously read that thread (I was one of the first to post in that thread) and I'm very much aware of the state of Tetenal, old and new (although I wouldn't know anything about their postboxes).

It's a nice... label. But that label is of limited use if you want to develop you film now. It's about as useful as the Tetenal's web shop selling Ultrafin T-Plus.

My original comment was a response to the statement that unavailability of Ultrafin T-Plus is a non-issue because it can always be replaced by T-Max developer. That "always" hasn't been working for us for a while now, present included.

I am excited about the future, though! Even more than I was about the new Tetenal, the renewed availability of Endura and that two new Fuji negative films...

C-TEC 41 has passed QC on friday and is ready to be released. The number one product from the Tetenal revival thread is soon back on the shelves at a lower price than the last TT price ;-)
Now we need you to buy it- so we can keep the price target.

The new Kit is already covered in the current SilverGrain Classics magazine: https://silvergrainclassics.com/en/2024/03/silvergrainclassics-issue-22/

(Not in the internet yet, you need to buy the printed copy).

I have been enjoying my latest edition of Silvergrain Classics, looking forward to trying your new chemistry.

More and more I'm replacing other brands by Adox products (and Bellini too) and no regrets at all. So glad to see them bringing back Tetenal products back.

I was surprised to see it on the cover of the latest Photoklassik. Congrats.

By the way... I heard this year Lina mentioning something in a podcast about a new Adox product (and said, 'Mirko might kill me now')... Can and will you elaborate something about that?

No clue what she was talking about. She loves toners and wishes for Viradon. I do too ;-)

What would be nice, IMHO, would be a little kit, 2 bottles, 125 or 250ml each. One with selenium and one with sulfide toner. Not sure about safety and shipping regulations. Sulfide toner is so stinky.
Liver of sulfur is horrendous stinky stuff.

I have enough Mirasol to last the rest of my life, but I worry about everyone else.

I did miss Emofin when Tetenal stopped making it, but I have moved on.

We are now turning towards the E-6 / 3 bath chemistry. Further up someone said 3-bath E-6 was "only available from small outlets without an R&D departement". This lets me wonder how familiar you guys are with the history (and size) of Tetenal. At a given time they were hiring entire semesters from Hamburg university straight into their R&D departement. It was a massive player. This color chemistry was top notch enginered and designed. Kodak was never to much into the home user color market. Their color chemistry was aimed at large scale labs and most of all at the movie industry. This might be why they never invested any thoughts there but I might be wrong. In any event the concentrates are separate. So storage is the same. The main point here is ease of use.

Can we count on ADOX to be able to replicate TT's E6 3-bath kits and bring them back to the market ?

I have been using Fuji chemistry for the last couple years, however I used the Tetenal 3 bath 5L kits and got terrific results. My advice is don't try to squeeze every possible roll, especially the blix gets pretty tired.
I would buy Adox made E-6.

My reservations about these simplistic whales are because of blix - I don't like that and if possible - I would avoid it...

Well not everyone thinks this way. The concentrates are in two bottles and the blix is mixed when preparing the solution. From this time on there might be a little disadvantage over separate baths in capacity but the ease of use aspect outruns this for the home user in our opinion.

I like playing with the 7 separate baths for E6. I do not like having to buy a case of 1st developer starter, same with the color developer starter, there's a bleach starter as well. I think that all the big commercial labs have equipment designed to run with these separate baths, so less interest in the 3 bath plus final rinse process.

Obviously the "blix" is simply combining specially formulated bleach with the fixer. The greenish-red bleach with clear ammonium thiosulfate solution.

The product Adox is selling in C-41 retains the 3 separate components for the C-41 developer, like what Kodak did, no shortcuts.

I'm to be streamlining my chemistry inventory at some point, I will be waiting to see what Adox comes up with.

Not certain with E-6, but in C-41, the bleach can be used without a starter -- you can't overbleach, as this step should be carried to completion; the only possible issue with using replenisher without starter would be pH.
