why, with modern films, is the stabilizer not optional?
If you look through @ADOX Fotoimpex ' posts, you'll find a fairly recent one commenting on this. The simple answer is that they don't find it possible to manufacture it so it can be priced at a level the market will actually bear.I would really like to have the gorgeous photo paper Adox MCC-110 back in production.
The actual dye couplers were reformulated resulting in better stability without the use of a stabilizer. That's the very short version.
It's not really a stabilizer in all likelihood, but really a combination of a surfactant and a biocide
It's not really a stabilizer in all likelihood, but really a combination of a surfactant and a biocide. So it's aimed at other aspects than dye stability. I would not omit it although it's less crucial than the stabilizer used to be for pre-2000s color films
There's a big sticky thread on color stabilizers on the forum; your questions are covered there. It's a good idea to scroll through the first few pages and read Photo Engineer's posts in particular.
Yes, quite possible; you could check their MSDS. They're fairly easy to find for Bellini products.
No, you have to directly contact Bellini for msds's
I found them quite easily just by googling "Bellini E6 msds". Maco and Fotoimpex have them at the product page, along with the kit instructions.
For the record, they don't list any formaldehyde in the "stabiliser" bath, only diethylene glycol and a biocide. They only list EDTA in the prebleach bath. Likewise, Fuji only lists EDTA and metabisulfite in the prebleach (conditioner) bath.
On the Bellini website there are no MSDS that I can find...
googling "Bellini E6 msds"
as any responsible manufacturer and retailer really should be doing...

Yes ofcourse. It´s already in the webshop. We are only waiting for the cardboard boxes (again!).Can we count on ADOX to be able to replicate TT's E6 3-bath kits and bring them back to the market ?
Could one meanwhile in theory buy them thrown in ugly plastic wrapping or something? It's amusing that a product is being delayed due to lack of packaging, but I suspect it happens quite often.
It happened with C-TEC C-41 as well. On the box are the hazmat labels so no- we will not throw them in plastic bags ;-)
Instruction-download vards are also not printed yet.
This is possibly more for our european customers but because we have to assume that Tetenal is never coming back, we started a little poll which products are missed the most by you guys.
This helps us to focus on what to possibly bring back first.
