Hello everyone.
Does anyone know how to decipher the production date or packaging of Tetenal kits?

I think that's the 33rd week of 2021 (or 2011!). The "1" is the year and the next two digits are the week ... I think.

When did Tetenal go into the current - and probably final - bankruptcy?

It happened on March 1, 2024, under the name HYTAChem Werke Hamburg GmbH, which is what the Tetenal company was called after November 2023.

Thank you. 2021 seems to be true, but I would of course like the set to be fresher///
What is the real freshness period of Tetenal chemical?
The instructions vaguely state that 2 years from the date of sale in the store, but it is not at all clear how long the packed box could have been in the store.

And that's the fundamental problem. You never know how long it's been sitting in the store, nor how it was stored, as storage temperature affects the shelf life of these concentrates. Therefore, it's best to buy from a popular & reputable supplier where these products sell out quickly.

I asked them (that's how I know the "codes") and they said 2 years from the date of manufacture, but also said that kept in the recommended cool conditions it should last "longer". I think/surmise that rather shorter times are stated, as those are the times where the product will behave "as new". It's the same with film, I suspect, and most of us don't hesitate to use film after its use-date if we have stored it in a cool place.
