If Kodachrome were to be reintroduced then Kodak should pay me to be tolerant of the film and its users.
I have no interest in resurrecting Kodachrome. But, large format E-6, on a light table is a far more attractive prospect than digital.A lot of people would buy one roll of Kodachrome for old times sake, end up $30 out of pocket after processing, and then go back to shooting digital, which is probably what is going to happen with Ektachrome, if Kodak ever gets around to releasing it.
Most likely the "Similar Threads" list that is now always at the bottom of the page. What prompted renewal of this zombie thread?

Well, the survey that started this thread says it all - if 57% of APUG/Photrio users (the most target-rich environment for Kodachrome customers if there ever was one) say they're not interested at ANY price, then it is truly dead, dead, dead. It was financially viable in the 1980s when Kodak could make it and process it in the volumes they had in the 1980s. By 2000, they were making the minimum quantity required to meet QC standards and throwing away unsold product every year, like with Kodak HIE (a product I'd much rather see come back than Kodachrome because it was a truly unique product with no equivalent, but we know that isn't going to happen either...). Think about the price of the final batch of Kodak HIE - it was something like $20/roll, not including processing. Kodachrome would be more expensive than that.

The silent Fuji operatives who lurk on this site skewed the results by voting against Kodachrome.
Demand for Kodachrome today is at a peak!!!
I dread the reemergence of the "magenta is not a color" posts.![]()
Whats the best stop bath for Kodachrome threads?
Name your price Ron. And by the way, do you have a patent for powdered wigs, or for quill pens?As I said before.... At a price, I will send an autographed copy of the K14 patent to anyone. This patent is an original given by the patent office to the inventor(s). Quite a deal.
