Chris I think it's the same basic size/length as the 90mm f8 Super Angulon in a Compur #0 shutter, the design didn't change.

Ian
well thanks ian.
in this case i dont understand.
should be 78mm. no spacers..
can someone confirm this?

Well while the design's the same the actual barrels differ so overall length may be very slightly different but spacing of the elements maybe the same.

The 1963 brochure doesn't say. The '67 says that in #0 the lens is "80 mm" long.

Are you having problems with yours?

hello shutterfinger.
looks like all good. i used it ioday and found the edges very soft wide open ( havent used such a wide lens on 5x7 before, so...) stopped down all good. IT made me wonder and when i saw the schneider datasheet i was unsure. thats all (78mm mentioned mentioned there).
i guess guess its a matter of older version maybe.
tx for confirming.
kind regards,
chris

ok. thanks dan. the datasheet on their site mentions 78mm. (for copal 0, not 00)
all is clear now.
regards.

Thanks, Craig, I know that site and have recently -- no surprise -- been there, somehow didn't see "overall length." More evidence that I need to have my vision checked.

The 78 mm dimension is, I think, for the lens in an "0+1" shutter. I believe, could be mistaken, that this is a Prontor #1 with bushings that let it accept lenses intended for a #0 Compur or Copal. Not a #00, which is what the OP originally asked about.
