Off topic but I actually used my sunglasses as an emergency filter one day when I happened upon some very striking tobacco rows one bright July day. Worked surprisingly well on a Powershot digital but I wasn't being stealthy.
Having perused old gear online for years I've seen hundreds of cameras modified in various ways by photographers with a vision but probably low on cash at the time of conception. Seems to me photographers have always cobbled and modified their gear to suit.
There's a Yashica TLR on ebay this morning with what appears to be a LF extension glued onto the back probably? for macro shooting.
Maybe this link will work: https://www.ebay.com/itm/286930137229
