I know it isn't how most people would use T-Max, but I was bored. I had Fomapan 400 loaded in the Nikon F2, and had shot half of it at ISO 1600, so I decided to shoot the other half at box speed to test stand developing. I did a semi stand develop for an hour, with four turns half way, using a 1:25 dilution.

The half I shot at 1600 came out pretty awful, possibly because I failed when I loaded the film. The inner turns had somehow slipped out of the reel and were in contact with each other, some of the film didn't develop at all, some not enough. I don't know why, maybe because it was my first time using a changing bag rather than locking myself in the bathroom..? Most of the outer half (shot at box speed) came out better than expected. Sharper and with finer grain than I usually get from Fomapan 400. Maybe a bit high contrast, although I find it hard to tell when scanning them. I think they'd print OK.

There is a little bit of a halo effect.

Tmax developer like Rodinal is a acutance type, difference is that Rodinal is most used at 1:50 or 1:25 while Tmax is of course 1:4, so surprised that did as well if used 1:100, I would have guessed at 1:25 for stand.
