Saw the Conscientious feature. Congrats, Gabriel!

Juried into Project Basho's Onward '10 this year with my picture called Band Aid. The juror was Debbie Fleming Caffery. There's an opening this weekend, Sat., Feb. 6th from 2 to 5 pm. I'm not going to be able to get down to Philly this weekend, and even if I could, I think the weather might make it difficult. If you are in Philly, though... that seems like a great Saturday afternoon thing to do!! :D

I'm in the upcoming Annual Juried Plastic Camera show at the Rayko Photography Center in San Francisco. The opening is Feb 26th and if any APUG members are in town I encourage you to drop by. The work is always good at this show, and the party is a blast.

I could show 5 of my Prints at EWZ Collection in Switzerland, just to give you an idea what you see on the pics is the country Switzerland made with money. The main pictures have been with the 8x10 Sinar some are done by 4x5 and then scanned and composed in PS!
It was at the bank crashs year in 2008 and I was a bit crititcally about Suisse! The exipition was in spring 2009 and now I'm on there server!
The first pic is just directly taken in one shoot with the 8x10 and in front of the spot flash a gobo!
Here you can see them much to small:

I'm very pleased to blow my horn... I had a show in Jalapa, Mexico's capital city of Veracruz state, and Mary Ellen Mark inaugurated it... She went all the way from New York for the opening... I'm very proud of it, and thankfull of her...

Humbly, I'm proud to announce to the APUG comunity that B&W magazine choose my work and published an article about it in the current issue. May I suggest everybody to buy a copy?

Bob:

Well done. Do you participate in CAPA competitions?

I entered a book of photos in the Falkland Islands Crafts Fair, I got first prize but was beaten by my 10 year old daughter who was the overall winner in the catergory. I did not mind being second best.

Got in to the upcoming Freestyle show with one print.

My photo, Reeds #2 took first place at The Fredericksburg Center for the Creative Arts juried exhibition, "Viewpoints" in March. I'm not so sure what to make of the juror's "worst possible illusion" comment, though. I did accept the award money...

Not big, but one of my prints won first place in the Leamington Arts Centre "Anything Goes" photo contest. Sadly, my prints are the only darkroom prints in the entire show. It sure is getting lonely out here.

Anyway, this couldn't have come at a better time for me. I really needed the encouragement this brings. Happy New Year to me.

I'm not sure what to make of that either... but did you notice your print was the one the juror had the most to say about?
A belated congratulations to you, Eddie...

Ilford Featured Photographer
Not a contest but I was surprised to learn that I am Ilford's featured photographer of the month of May 2011.

That is SO cool! Given that I'm a real fan of Ilford, I'd be thrilled to pieces to be chosen as their featured photographer.

Greg, two exhibitions AND a magazine? That's extremely impressive. Congrats to you, also!

Well done!

And last, but far from least Congratulations, Tom! That is a lovely way to welcome in a new year. Encouragement should always be.... encouraged!

Phew. All caught up on 2011 and into 2012. What a talented bunch you are.

Two of my carbon transfer prints were accepted in a juried competition of alternative processes for the Centre for Photographic History and Technology - Pacifica Chapter. The show will be held at the Group f/5.6 Gallery in Bellevue, Washington.

Two of my gum prints as well, Andrew. Hope to see you at the opening.
