Depends on usage. I’ve never used a F2 so my experience is with other Nikons. The Nikkormats I used on the job in rugged environments, underground mines and military exercises, were professionally overhauled after every other usage. Each usage was 2 week duration of 12-hour days. We couldn’t afford to miss a shot or carry more than 1 backup. My F3 has been for personal travel photography and has been well used but is somewhat pampered. It got professional overhaul every 15 years.
How old is your F2, when last overhauled, and how rough was the usage??? So… it depends. Only you can assess that.
... and if you don't know the camer's history yet worry about it... an overhaul would put your mind at ease about its condition and future reliability.
