Should I consider focus throw when buying manual focus SLR lenses?

I used dozens of Nikkors from all eras and I don't mind the differences I encountered in focus-throw AT ALL. I learned it existed from literature and forums and then I realized they were different. I would care more about sharpness, rendering, size, weight and overall handling on the camera.
