I went down this rabbit hole
Started off with an Isola



Then picked up a Nettar



And am now 2 Mamiya 6's in



I gotta say, the Mamiya 6, when it goes right, is a great machine. First one I got was plagued with bellows issues, by the end of it the thing could barely close with all the patches I'd glued onto it. Got a second one and it would never, despite what I did, focus properly. Ripped off the focus mechanism in its entirety from the first and put it into the second and all is good once more.

These just came out of my 1915 Kodak Junior 1a this weekend. Not perfect but not bad for a 103 year-old camera.



 
I was thinking more about this thread. I hope the OP finds these samples as inspiring as I do. It has occurred to me that a lot of my early years in my family, and likely many others, were documented with simple box cameras, meniscus lenses, etc. These folders with their triplets and Tessar-type lenses and adjustable focus (and exposure) are actually fairly high end devices by comparison. And especially with very youthful (and maybe also elderly!) picture takers, flinching whilst pushing the shutter release may have prevented even the simple cameras from showing their best. I probably have since burned it, but my mother proudly kept a circa 1950 6x9 contact from my Brownie Target Six-20 that had my finger partially obscuring the lens in an otherwise fairly decent shot of an old one room schoolhouse in Vermont. (Her secret weapon to teach me not to get too smug I guess. )

Shot on my Kodak Junior 620, which saw service in WW2 with an Australian soldier stationed in the Middle East.
The film was respooled, however, it didn't wind on correctly in camera (used a worn 620 spool) hence the fogging.

This was the first roll I put through it - blown away by the lens and the tried and true "sunny 16" method worked an absolute treat.

Great pictures everyone. I love my Agfa Isolette I and lately I've been using it more than my Yashicamat 124G. I feared it had reached the end of its life a few weeks ago when I discovered several pinholes in the bellows. Luckily I sourced and managed to install new bellows, and it seems everything is back to normal now.

A couple of shots, 1st on Ektar 100, second on (defective) Fomapan 200. Both scanned with my Epson V550.

Agfa Super Isolette, Solinar 75 3,5 coated lens, the same that you can find on some Isolette III or Isolette II; great lens, great camera with coupled rangefinder. My favourite camera for the beach, no electronics and no damage from few water drops...
 
Thanks. I'm not looking to buy, as I've just bought a Bronica SQ-Ai, but in the future it might be an idea to have something pocketable, especially if it has a quality lens.
