Hi, we are starting investigate this SRP,due to this is a offical shop, we cannot do a cheapest price which compare with smuggled goods price. we need also consider each country's distributor who paid tax. but we did hear from your side. and we will support our distributors in our end and make the SRP down to reduce gap. but that cannot avoid all of them. Hope we can do our best to bring bargain film with good service and quality to all.

Also I asked our technological staff, they told me, that the " scratches" is due to XRay reason, not really a scratch issue.

It was the 400 speed film and xrays do not cause scratches!!! good grief!!!
I could see the scratches in the emulsion.

Now are you going to tell me the uneven emulsion coating was also from Xrays?

Comments like that ruin any kind of credibility that you are trying to build.

Want to be credible? Send out a few sample rolls of the film so we can test it.

I would not be interested. 220 film is too darn long for my taste anyway. There's so much amazing film made today. I love Ilford and Kodak offerings, the limited experience I have with Foma has been very good. Ilford and Foma papers are awesome. This is where I will be spending my €£¥$$
Best Regards

I'm offended that PR would try to pull that on a website like Photorio. Like, come on bro. 'tis silly.

I mean unless it was some sort of Soviet X-ray machine that got away and was hurling chips of radioactive cobalt through the lens. Hey, Huss. Maybe you should check your lens for scratches, ya know scratches on lenses might like cause gouges in the film.

Aside from the scratches the whole emulsion looks lousy. I roll my own 220 and while it does get a bit scuffed on the end, it doesn't look anywhere near as bad as that!

You are way too nice.
Just trying to be "Mr. Nice Guy". I know the average Chinamen is smart than this and or can be that dumb. Or can they???? So tell me what he or she is trying to pull here, if anything? Regardless, this place is the wrong place to be trying to jerk someone's leg.

Hi, Huss, Thanks for reply. and I double check with them and find I misunderstand their meaning as I am not professional one.
this is the image I sent out.
they are mentioned that No.3 looks like Xrays issue and replied me..... but I think this just because I shot my computer using my phone. he thought this is the issue I asked.
sorry about that.
and for No.1 if this also show in the back side. then it is scratches.
for No.2 we are not sure about the reason, could you send us more information regarding this?

as compensation, would you like to send private message to me so we can send you some 100 220 film for this batch film?
We did improved a lots when doing quantity control this time. Hope will not disappoint you again.

Thanks

But you made a good point concerning prices. I do see the issue with buying from obscure overseas dealers who, with the aid of Amazon, could sell products here without adding VAT or tax and of course offering no practical warranty.

Concerning your product: unless you try marketing just by price, what at the moment you are not, tell us what makes your film special (concerning film I generally refrain from using a term as "better") aside of the type 220 conversion.

1 is a scratch

2 is edge damage from mishandling. Someone was sweating while handling the film or the paper was damp.

3 more scratches

Not to mention the pinholes I can also see on the film.

Ya see, here's the rub. If the film was dirt cheap like it used to be and once in a blue moon you got a scratched roll, or numbers from the paper would leak through, or there were defects in the emulsion I'd be fine with it. Someone it seems though, told these guys that western fools are paying crazy money for film, lets hop on that train and make some quick cash.

We're not all from the west and we're not all fools.

If you're going to crank out sub par film then expect people to complain when you charge premium prices.

No. Don't encourage this nonsense. If it's a worthwhile product find a distributor and sell it through normal channels. There's no reason to risk your work. I want to see Adox be able to run the Swiss operation. Vote for Quality. Vote with your money.

Sorry about the misleading, and this is my job mistake. I misunderstand the meaning and did wrong message.

Gotta give it to you guys, at least your sticking around. I still have a few rolls of the old GP3 in 120 sitting in my freezer. I'd test out the new stuff to see if it holds up, I don't turn down a free lunch.
