How does B&H Photo ship new film domestically?
My very recent shipments from B&H were FedEx. It seems to me that B&H might have some sort of “trusted shipper” relationship, though, that allows packages to go through without xray.

I had this happen once on a Leica I sold on the other side of the country. Finally got some one the USPS PO to grab the package. I didn't do a good enough job of blackening out my address so depending with way the package passed under the bar code scanner determined where it was headed. Good reason to remove all labels on a box.I recently mailed some film via USPS from Maryland to Virginia which are neighboring states. It's taken almost two months to get it done and on it's way home. It got stuck in an intergalactic loop for weeks where no one could find it but it was bouncing back and forth from Richmond and back to Washington DC. Then the lab took it's time getting around to it. Never again will I use the Post Office for anything other than letters and I'd rather not do that but what else ya gonna do? I have to find a way to clean the water up here at the house so I can return to home development.
I checked with B&H Photo and they said: "... film is shipped using FedEx. They do not x-ray our packages..."
After 39 posts and about 4 days are we any closer to arriving at a definitive answer as to what USPS' policy is in terms of CT scanning a package that contains undeveloped film?

Yes, it's the same policy as used for any other type of package.
Sent by ground it probably wont, but possibly could.
Sent by air it probably will, but may not..
Toss a coin.
If it is, the film may or may not be affected.

If you write on the box, photographic film-do not xray, it will get xrayed
I try to avoid UPS.
As long as you're not seeing gladioli with my posts ... I'm cool with Sir Les. RIPI keep on seeing Sir Les Patterson's face every time I read your unequivocal report on USPS' policy
