Is it necessary to point the camera here there and
every where to make readings or is there a moveable
sensor within the hood? Has anyone experience with
this hood? What do you think of it?

I favor off camera metering but think I should have
something more of a finder than just a waistlevel. Dan

Its a great product. I got it so I can look down into the ground glass with black out siding--its easier for me to have it blacked out. I believe it has a spot meter in it that reads the center. There is no movable sensor. Mine was modified by Mamiya USA to work on an RZ II Pro. Plus it has a magnifyer in it.

Get it. Its great.
