Hello, I haven't posted as much here so I can't attach a picture but I recently bought an RZ67 Pro II and have developed two 120 rolls so far. I keep getting light on the 7 cm edges and most of my shots have been in portrait orientation. I am wondering if the issue comes from the film back or from the bellows because the seller is offering to send me a new back. If the leaks are coming from the bellows, by the time the new film back arrives, I won't be able to return the camera.

The leaks are on both 7cm edges but only within the frame. They are only in the edges but rather diffused, no straight lines.

Film back or bellows?

Thanks!

EDIT: I thought i might have mishandled the film, which is why I shot a second roll. Same results.

Do you have pictures? If you have your bellows extended like you do for a macro shot, this increases your chances for light leak if you have a hole in your bellows.

Within the frame makes it sound like a bellows leak. Go in a dark room, extend the bellows, and shine a flashlight from inside the bellows, looking for leaks.

Don't forget the rotating back adapter. It too can be a source of leaks.

Not sure if the RZ is the same, but I had to replace the light seals around the focusing screen/hood finder in my RB67.

I'll second the flashlight test and the suggestion to replace all light seals. The light seals are not difficult to replace. If the bellows passes the flashlight test, take the additional back, replace seals, and enjoy.

Is the film back a Pro II? The Pro II doesn't have foam seals. The Pro does. My Pro had a leak so I replaced the seals. After, I bought a Pro II back, and plan to get another Pro II. Hope this helps you narrow it down.

If it is the bellows (do the bellows light test mentioned above), black gaffers tape can work wonders.

What the others said about testing and posting the negatives.

I did the test and found no leaks from the bellows. I could have missed some, though. Anyhow, an ebay representative told me I should still be able to return it if the new back does not solve the problem. I will update the thread for anyone who might be interested.

Thank you for the replies!!

P.S. apug will not let me attach images or links since i have not made many posts. I really tried to change up the link or share my flickr account with no luck..

Which back you're using is relevant here. The Pro II backs have the foam and older Pro backs do not.
