Holy crap, can it be almost done?

In the (3?) years since I last had the camera I lost my shitty job, went back to uni to do a Master's, nearly ran out of money, got a new job (which is way better than the old one, but actually had work to do so couldn't be on apug all day), sort of lost interest in the tedium of developing and scanning photos (but still found time to shoot the occasional roll), went to New Zealand with a Travelwide full of velvia 4x5s, broke up with my partner, started seeing someone new who then moved to Canada, and I just came back from a RTW trip to Canada and Europe (with a few dozen rolls of velvia/provia/ektar in tow), looks like I'm finally getting back into the photography thing too...

Glad to see that the camera is still alive and that (almost) all the rest of us are too.

Too early to start round 11?

In all case, while waiting, I tried to trace the Big Loop of Camera 10 around the globe, with the places given by each participant.,
You may need to update that map slightly, I do seem to remember taking the camera on a road-trip from Adelaide to Melbourne (one of my shots was in the Lerderderg Forest IIRC), which would add an extra 1500km to the total

Well, still waiting the path of Shawn own personal asteroid crosses again the Earth's orbit... :whistling:

Only a few more months until this thread has its 5th birthday!

If I bake a cake, we could send it around and everyone can have a slice... oh wait....

Oh goodness, this camera has seen more than its share of bad luck. I hope he's okay too.
I've also been worried lately about Jerry Koch, who hasn't been around for some time.

Shawn Rahman was last seen: Apr 27, 2019

So, anybody have any real world contact info for Shawn? He's been gone a LOOOONNNNNGGGG time!!

Whoever has Shawn's postal address should PM it to the group so we can flood his mailbox and wake him up.

Yeah, I tried asked for that in August with no takers (or nobody with the contact infor). Seems odd that Newt, the other New Yorker, has not been seen since April 2, 2019. Did NY fall into the Atlantic or is APUG banned there?

We should go back up the line as each person should have the contact information of the person after them. Since Shawn and Newt are missing, perhaps M.A.Longmore (who was online Wednesday) has Newt's contact information and can try to get in touch? Then, if successful, have Newt contact Shawn? Or perhaps just provide the contact information to one of us and we can work on getting in touch. I'll PM M.A.Longmore and see if I can get that process started.

After much digging through my boxes of packed up darkroom gear, I finally found my notebook containing everyone's info who participated in this round. I tried calling Shawn, but was immediately sent to voicemail. I left a message, and sent an email to his personal address. I'm hoping he's merely bogged down with work, and not anything else.

Thanks Rick! Fingers crossed that Shawn is okay and can return to us!

As the camera around the world turns... don't give up! We've been here before and the camera returned. So, there's a chance

.
At least there has been a wee bit of progress.
His "Last Seen" status changed from April 27th, to April 28th 2019.
At that rate it will only take 372 years for him to be "Last Seen" on May 4th 2020 !
I wonder if I can prepay for my grandchildren's subscription ?
