John .. You are from Washington.. I'm an old desert rat.. so not sure of the cloud cover up there, but living there .. I'm sure your aware of S.A.D... Seasonal Affective Disorder
Although you say its been eight months, but perhaps you were about ready to do the do, and then the season hit.. If nothing else its a good excuse, to blame it on something.

I had to do some voluntary work up in Petaluma some years ago during the winter, and being a desert rat, I go south without four days of sun. So I was getting more depressed and depressed and called a friend and told him to pick me up and take me to the health food store, for if I got in my truck I was going home! So he picked me up and I got some full spectrum light bulbs. Got two in fact.. one I put on the desk at where I was staying and the other in a portable light thing a ma'gig.. that I attached to my short step ladder and had it in my face while I worked outside. About two three hours.. of that, and I could feel that I had enough. The depression went away and worked there till summer.
Ha then everybody else would leave when it finally warmed up to 80+.. mid day, because with the humidity they were getting to hot.. and I finally was warming up...

Ha different strokes for different folks.

But look into it if you not heard of it.. it really worked.. here's a quick site..

OMG the pressure is starting to mount!

Peter, I had completely forgotten that full spectrum lights even existed. I'm going to have to find me some. I'm certain the short days and my sitting indoors aren't doing me a lot of good.

Sorry to be losing John, however I have added one of our alternates to the fray. Mr. cdholden from Nashville will be inserted in an appropriate spot. Welcome to the insanity round.

Hot diggity. I'd say back to the insanity, but I never really left that.
I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas.
Cheers!

I seem to have been moved into a different country!

Just because I can see the USA from my window doesn't mean that I live there!:D

I can, however, visit easily.

So why wait for one round to be done before starting the next? Why not start the next round halfway through? Or maybe have three going at once?

So in the time it took me to catch up.. The camera was lost, the camera was found, it's finally met its moose in Japan, we lost John (sorry to see that John!) and we regained CDholden... Sheesh a gal just can't sit on her laurels around here.. So much happens!

Happy New Year everyone.. Hope they were all good for you x

One of your Latin lovers- Enrique, I think- says you have very nice laurels.

Hope they were all good for you
And you too, all of them- Enrique, Luis, Pablo, Pedro, Roberto, Jose', the other Pablo, the other Roberto, Felipe, Juan, Wilhelm- (Wilhelm???)
And the others whose names I've forgotten or you haven't mentioned yet...

And Happy New Year, Same Camera Round, to you! :D

Enrique always says the damnedest things! That cheeky bugger...

You did forget Marco.. But he said he doesn't mind he's an understanding sort!

As for Wilhelm.. Those rumours are completely unfounded! [emoji6]

Wow, and there is no mention of the Camera...

Looks like Rachelle has collided with some smartphone user while street shooting in Japan :D

I hope you are OK !

That's funny Raphael - I showed that youtube clip to my students just before the holidays!

I'm hoping to go out with the camera this weekend, or possibly Monday, which is Dead Link Removed in Japan, and all the newly minted 20-year olds in current kimono fashion will be out in force. Should make for some interesting photos.
