John .. You are from Washington.. I'm an old desert rat.. so not sure of the cloud cover up there, but living there .. I'm sure your aware of S.A.D... Seasonal Affective Disorder
Although you say its been eight months, but perhaps you were about ready to do the do, and then the season hit.. If nothing else its a good excuse, to blame it on something.
I had to do some voluntary work up in Petaluma some years ago during the winter, and being a desert rat, I go south without four days of sun. So I was getting more depressed and depressed and called a friend and told him to pick me up and take me to the health food store, for if I got in my truck I was going home! So he picked me up and I got some full spectrum light bulbs. Got two in fact.. one I put on the desk at where I was staying and the other in a portable light thing a ma'gig.. that I attached to my short step ladder and had it in my face while I worked outside. About two three hours.. of that, and I could feel that I had enough. The depression went away and worked there till summer.
Ha then everybody else would leave when it finally warmed up to 80+.. mid day, because with the humidity they were getting to hot.. and I finally was warming up...
Ha different strokes for different folks.
But look into it if you not heard of it.. it really worked.. here's a quick site..
