RH Design ZoneMaster II with Ilford Multigrade FIlters

I use RH DESIGNS ZONEMASTER IIm analyzer with a set of multigrade filters from Ilford. How I should assign Ilford multigrade filters to the scale in ZoneMaster II?
I know, 00 number filter is rarely used, but it is.

I use the RH designs ananlyser/pro, and as far as I know you calibrate the Zonemaster in the same way as the Analyser, you can find good starting points for most papers either on here ( for the new Multigrade v) and a lot of information on using and calibrating the machine on the RH designs website, I have just skipped though the instruction book on the RH Designs site and can find no referance to assigning the Ilford MG filters, it is done by entering the ISO(R) number and contrast, I suggest you look on the RH Designs website for further information it is a fine meter, the best enlarging meter I know of, I hav eused the Ananlyser/pro, of which the Zonemaster meter is the same for many years and the calibration process is the same for both meters, you enter the iso(r) numbers, which is the filters grades, then a seperate set of numbers to get the contrast, sounds complicated, but isn't realy, there is a set of calabritions for MG5 on this site, should come up in a site search, and for MG 5 just enter them and start printing,

As there probably ain't a 00.5 filter in your box, the easiest way is not to use that setting on your meter and either go for the 00 setting or the 0 setting and work from there. Those contrast setting are an approximation of the old paper contrast grades and the only thing that really matters is that the final print looks good, the exact contrast setting is secundary. And if you really need the 00.5 setting, you can always split the exposure time in two and change between 00 and 0 filters half way.

The 00 filter is among the most used filters in my box, mostly for burning highlights, just like the grade 5 filter, which I use for both dodging and burning.

With the Zonemaster, as with the Analyser pro, you don't enter filter values as grades, but as the ISO(R) numbers of the paper, the contrast is a separate set of numbers that you enter after the ISO(R) numbers for the various grades, the Zonemaster is simply the meter section of the analyser/pro, and is treated in exactly the same way, so you do not need the filter numbers, per se, just the iso(r) numbers which are published by the various paper manufacture's, and many are on the RH Designs website, for the MG5 search on this site and you will find them, enterv the 2 settingd, and the meter will give you both a suggested grade abd the exposure time for that grade, if you think that, say grade 3 would give a better print than grade 2 then switch up to grade 3, set the zonenaste until the led's are at the ends of the scale and the new time will be there for grade 3, it does alter, plus you can spot meter areas where you might to dodge or burn, and you will get at least a starting point, 99% of the time the meter time for dodgeing burning will be spot on, 99% of your prints using the Zonemaster will be right first time, with just a little experience using the meter

Unfortunately, they didn't answer my question twice. The meter is great, I have been using it for several months. I have no objections to him except for one question that troubled me.
