faberryman's quotation was one that stuck with me, too. I thought, "Geeez.... is that what they think?" Film is doomed if folks get into it in order to make crappy pictures. Instead of a hipster craze, it'll just be the "crappy photo fad"

You are right that there were many crappy snapshots when there was only film. But there are many more now, even if one does not count the selfies and food pictures.
