RB67 Pro-S back on a Pro

This website says all backs are compatible between the models. I bought a Pro body and my Pro-S back does not fit. There is a hole in the Pro-S body that does not exist on the Pro, and a stud on the Pro-S back that hits. What does this little stud do? This is sort of annoying.

The Pro-S backs work well on the Pro - you just have to do without the interlocks.

The RB in RB67 stands for Revolving Back.

The revolving back is what the film back attaches to.

The camera manual includes a useful chart which shows the various combinations of adapters available for the RB67 and the uses they are put to.

I asked which one you have, in case you have something different.
