I bought Horseman LS instead of LE as it was described.
The rail is great but heavy.
Is it possible to use lighter rail and which one?

Thanks for replies.

You can use a shorter rail, that makes the camera a bit lighter. There's a rail that makes it possible to use a 150 lens on the camera. It shows up now and then on the 'bay. Sorry I can't be more specific, it was a long time since I used a Horseman.

BTW, welcome to APUG!

I guess it is 250 mm rail that exists now. Am I right?

Yes, I believe it was a 250 mm rail.

Just happened to stumble across this old thread. The Horseman LE came with a 400mm fixed length monorail, while the LS and higher models came with a 460-700mm expandable monorail. The LE also did not have Base Tilt, while Base Tilt was available on the LS and higher models.

The optional short rail for all cameras was 250mm, and there was a 1000mm rail option as well.
