Hi everyone,

I just noticed today that my Hahnel radio trigger does not fit the hotshoe for the Speedgrip S. It's because the contacts at the bottom won't slide in, if that makes sense. The hotshoe is functioning, as my flash fits and works on it.

So my question is if anyone has used a radio trigger on the Speedgrip, and if so, which one?

Thanks in advance.

I have used a pocket wizard trigger (for nikon) but it cant slide into place on the speed grip S with either the wlf or prism finder on, so what I do is use a remote hot shoe extension coil cord on the speed grip and then mount the trigger to the other end. I did not have any problems with the pins though. You might try depressing the pins with the side of a knife as you slide the trigger into the shoe if they are a bit too long.

Thanks for the reply. I was thinking of a way to slide the pins in, the knife method may just work. Otherwise, I'll go to the local camera shop and see if they either have an extension or maybe a different trigger that'll fit.

The knife method worked! Thanks hsandler!
