Hello! I bought this Rada roll film holder hoping it would fit my Voigtlander. Unfortunately it does not. Any ideas what it does fit??
Maybe I am blind.. my wife says I am. I can never find anything I am looking for and then she finds it in 30 seconds.
Off hand it seems to be a specimen of the socalled 'millionfalz'-type (german) - basically just a flat-boxlike fit. In this case it will in fact fit certain old-stype Voigtlander Bergheil cameras. Thas is if it's a 9x12cm fit.
edit: The tabs dont really mean anything, they are just short guides for the cover.
edit 2.: after having seen the pix below I can confirm the above.
As far as I remember, the lip on the lower edge is really necessary for using it on the Ideal camera.
In guess you mean a grove at the bottom edge of the film/plate holder; indeed the ICA/Zeiss Ideal uses so-called (in German) 'Anlege Kassetten'. They are not meant to slide in the camera, but to be pressed against the back. They are secured at the camera with the bottom grove and with two pins from the camera fetching two notches in the holder.
Here you can see the back of an ICA Favorit camera. The holder (at the right side) is secured by two kind of bolts grasping the notches:

By the way, this double plate holder matches also the Ideal 10 x 15 camera.
