I can only agree with what has already been said. The SBC is one of the best meters period regardless of price. I have used or owned a whole bunch of meters (pretty much everything that is good) in my life and it is my favorite by far. With the dial you can adjust everything in a second. Very efficient. If you have to have a digital display for cheap, or need a flash meter, then the Sekonic is about as good as you can do.

The Luna Pro SBC will meter flashlight with a Flash Attachment - there are Spot Attachments and Microscope Attachments available too.
Mike Butkus has a manual for the Luna Pro SBC.

I went to look at my meter. There is a red lightning bolt symbol on the scale where flash readings are taken from. Also did a google and found this:

I wish people would not post information that they do not absolutely know is true!
The Luna Pro SBC will meter ambient light just as well as being a flash meter. I used one extensively for years.
The manuals for both show they are the same size and have the same angle of measure. They use the same battery
and the sensitivity looks to be the same. The SBC seems a little easier to read, but the the "F" still has the zone system scale, which was missing on my old SBC
My guess is that they are the same meter inside, but marketed to different people, but that IS a guess.

'Still getting used to the Luna Pro SBC I purchased used from an honorable member here. 'Wish it were about 1/3 the size, but make no mistake - its sweet. I got the online manual & I'm sure it does more than I use, but getting a reading & having instant access to EV (blad & hopefully Retina shooter here) and the corresponding range of exposure settings is easy. Compared to my less than full featured selenium cell (at the princely sum of $10), its wonderful. That selenium had its charm - 1"x1"x 1/2". Anything is gonna seem huge by comparison.

Here's a shot of mine showing the flash symbol near f2.8. I guess there's a difference in naming meters for different countries.

If I remember, the red power button rotates to lock in the on position. I used this model as my first flash meter. It fell from the roof of my car and I replaced it with a sekonic 308, then bought this meter used later, for old times sake.

That is the indicator you reference to when the Profiflash attachment is added to the meter.

I stand corrected. I dug out my old meter, that fell from the car and the one I used to measure flash without an attachment, and it is/was a Lunasix F. Identical to the sbc except for their flash capabilities. Sorry!

They are only identical concerning their dial and the manner of using it.

Except for the flash-metering feature and sensitivity they also are different in that only the Profisix (Luna Pro SBC in the USA) has got electrical contacts to use those other, dedicated attachmnents.

But there's more..

And for the obsessive sorts (come on now, we're photographers after all ...) some lightmeter apps can save a thumbnail and the readings -- you can even type in a note -- heck, you can even email it!!!

:munch: :w00t:

You can geotag too because it will also display GPS coordinates. But the meter is pretty accurate.

My beloved Profisix (Luna Pro SBC) with a Multibeam Spot attachment went overboard during a sail event near Makkum/NL
The Sixtomat Flash I bought out of necessity is a stopgap ...

Not correct:

The manual for the Lunasix F confirms that the "Lunasix F System" includes the following optional accessories: Measuring Probe, Tele attachment, Micro attachment, Lab attachment and Repro attachment, all of which are compatible with the Lunasix F.

As best as I can tell, they are the same as the accessories for the Profisix/Luna Pro SBC, and may in some cases be the same as the accessories for the older Lunasix CDS meters.

The Lunasix F also uses a silicon blue cell. It has a more limited low light capability than the SBC/Profisix.

Sorry, but you are not correct.

I had it about attachments dedicated for the Profisix. And those are the electrical ones.
All non-electric attachments fit all meters that take attachments. (I posted on that too.)
But in addition the Profisix and the later Mastersix take the electrical ones too.
