Question about MF AF cameras on the market

For those of you who use MF AF cameras.
Do you find the AF useful for portraits... or weddings.... or sports.
How fast is the AF compared to a Canon MKII.
Is it like the first generation of 35mm AF cameras?
I'm just curious and no store near me seems to stock anything.

I use manual focus cameras (Mamiya 645) and have no problems shooting images of my kids playing soccer. I could imagine needing AF for rapidly moving objects. But not for portraits and such.

I have used both the Pentax and the Mamiya and the focus speeds are pretty good on both of them, faster than the first generation 35 cameras.

No MF Medium Format Camera will touch a Canon EOS MKII in the AF Dept. I have used the three Medium Format AF options and here they are in terms of speed and accuracy:

Hasselblad H1 (Format 645)
Fast but very pricey
Maybe 70% of a Canon EOS MKII

Mamiya 645 (Format 645)
80% of the speed of the H1
Best Price Performance Ratio IMO

Rollei 6008 AF (Format 6x6)
Good Speed, maybe 70% of an H1
Expensive

These are just subjective opinions but I have used all the cameras on professional assignments including the Canon EOS MKII.

My Pentax 645NII is comparable to my Nikon F70 with regards to autofocus. It's not quite up to the newer generation 35mm cameras and lacks the multi-sensor functionality but it's much better than the early generation AF cameras which were slow, used to hunt and wouldn't focus at all on horizontal lines. I still switch to MF mode when appropriate.

I have the Pentax NII, too. The autofocus is not so fast like my Canon 10D with 70-200 IS, but never have a problem with speed focus in the street photography, for me the NII is one of the best system in medium format, in autofocus mode.
